I just wanted to put down in writing that yesterday was the first day of my weight loss journey. I'm currently 16st 5lbs and fed up of being over weight...so this is it!

My healthy eating started yesterday and I've started to do more exercise. I signed up to a gym yesterday and although it doesn't open until next week I have my induction session booked in for Bank Holiday Monday (in the morning! this is definitely the start!).

When I get home tonight I'm going to take all of my measurements and take photo's of myself (God help me, I hate looking at myself at the best of times but this is the best comparator; I've been reading some of the success stories and they are really inspriational so here goes.

I'm at a wedding this weekend and months ago I decided to lose weight in readiness and I kept putting it back a week and putting it back that the wedding is on Saturday and I've lost no weight!

I'm new to the site but hope to make friends and get some great support

Thanks

Good luck! Sounds like you have the determination to be successful. The best advice I can give is stick with it even when you don't see results and keep pushing through your "bad" days. It will pay off!

The support here is amazing, and if you stick to your goals and stay honest with yourself and pick yourself up when you fall (you will--we all do--but it's not the end of the world if you don't let it derail you), you will do it.

And we will cheer when you do. :)

I've found the system really works when you are completely honest and log everything. Even if you have to carry over negative Calories when you go over to the next day (because it is really easy to go over when you don't exercise), this service is a great accountability tool. Good luck.

You can do it, when I lost my first 2 pound, I was a litte disapointed, but then I went in my fridge and took out a 2 pound tub of margerine and said to myself 2 pounds is a lot of weight. That put me back on track. Good luck to you and stay positive:love::love:

    Welcome aboard!!!

This site has been amazing! I've met some awesome people and have gotten support that I never had before. It isn't going to be easy but it will be worth it all.
