Shoes Agggg!

Ok I am in big trouble, I have purchased these new shoes Nikes running shoes and my arch isn't bad I would say just normal maybe slightly high, and these shoes have started hurting my calves and ankles,,, I donot know what happened I started high impact step class about a month ago ( same time I got my shoes) and now I am hurting in my lower calf muscle, any suggestions for the best step shoes I do know I need a cross trainer??. Any help is GREATLY appreciated...
