Is K2 also potassium? When I go to buy my potassium, it usually comes in a capsule for about 3% DV, but the bottles labeled 'K2' is about 130%, so I'm really confused. I asked the clerk at GNC, and he had no clue. :huh:

    Just did a quick Google and I think yes. K is the symbol for potassium - remember the periodic table from high school?

    I don't think the "K2" you're thinking about is potassium. Nope. Not hardly.

    No, it's not potassium. K2 is a form of vitamin K, a fat-soluble vitamin that takes part in blood coagulation and various metabolic processes.
