How much fat are you eating daily?

My daily fat is set at 41g, and after eating mostly fruits and veggies, a tiny bit of olive oil, a luna bar, and 1/2C of sesame sticks I'm over for the day. Dinner hasn't even come yet! I don't even want to think about how much fat I was eating before starting MFP. :/ How much fat are you eating?

85 grams or so. I'm basing that off 0.7g/LBM lb

I wouldn't worry too much if you go over as long as it's healthy fats. Your body needs fat to function. Olive oils, nuts etc are healthy fats that I wouldn't worry about as much.

Same here. Also coconut oil and flax seeds. I'm a vegetarian who doesn't eat a ton of dairy or egg, so I generally have to add fat to my meals, rather than reduce it.

I don't want to tell you what to eat or not to eat, but the sesame sticks are not helping if you're trying to watch fat intake. I mean they are undoubtedly delicious and I don't advocate completely cutting off food you love, but aren't they just a fried dough mixed with sesame seeds?

Bump! I'm interested in this because it was pointed out to me that my fat intake is too low. I think I am around 20-30mg a day.

100g to 120g a day. But I'm low-carbing, keeping carbs in the 20g to 50g range. (There's type 2 diabetes in my family, and I don't want to go there.)

I eat about 90 grams of fat and try to keep my carbs at or below 80 grams. I don't worry about it too much but I really try to get in all of my protein.

Fat is usually 25-30% of my total calories. The number of grams that works out to depends on how active I am on any given day - it's usually in 90-115g range.

MFP has me set at 66g per day. Looking over my diary it looks like I usually eat between 40-90 grams depending on the day. There were a couple of pizza and lasagne days where I hit 100 grams but usually if I know I'm going to be eating foods with lots of cheese for dinner I try to keep breakfast and lunch lower in fat.

5o to 60 grams. I don't worry about fats too much, because I know I only eat healthy ones for the most part. When I was trying to lose, I worried more about keeping my carbs down.

i am wondering if this is why I don't seem to lose any weight. My fat is at 40 but most days I don't even get to 30. This I have just noticed.

I am wondering that if I up my intake a tad then this may help weight loss ? perhaps ? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    :o)

How did you come up with the percentage of what to eat of Protein and Carbs and Fat?

Here's a calculator from the University of Maryland on fat intake; it's for normal eating, not dieting, but at least gives you a jumping-off point on figuring out what you should set as your realistic goal:
