Transition Clothing

After re-discovering some of my older clothes that got shoved to the back of the closet and assessing they are not "fashion sensitive" so I can still wear them, I realize that some time this year I will need to do some shopping. While I use a sort of step plan with shorter target goals, ultimately the hope is for those to add up so ultimately have a much bigger success. So I need to think about managing the wardrobe. Any tips or suggestions on managing an in between clothing set. I wear a furnished uniform at work and we use a quartermaster system so no worries on that front. This would be just the casual everyday wear with the occasional dress up day. My one wild card - I have a nine year old daughter who can't wait to take me shopping.

What a great problem to have. The solution- take your daughter and have her help you buy some clothes. You might start by cleaning out your closet of all the clothes you know that definitely too large. Happy shopping!

Try belts when your pants are a little big. My dad would punch holes in his belts to tighten them up till he had to go an look for new clothes.

If you don't need a lot of clothes because you will be shrinking quickly try looking for some simple things from second hand stores- they are cheap and you can find simple basics without print most of the time. Extra bonus to this is if you shop at Salvation Army or Good Will you help out the community you live in as well.

If you need more clothes that will transition with you try things that have buttoned edges that can adjust the sizes of your pants, and shirts with different cuts that look nice now and will hang well when you lose more weight instead of just t-shirts.
