Have any of you watched this show on the Discovery channel? They have an INCREDIBLE episode on the human metabolism/strength. If you want a really amazing illustration of how our body works I highly suggest checking them out. Here is a clip I found (luckily its the one I think that pertains the most for us):

That segment shows a swimmer in the English channel who had to actually gain about 16 pounds of body fat as part of his training to make the full swim. His body burnt every pound of it in less than a day. Absolutely amazing stuff.

    That show was amazing. We have seen it a couple of times. I thought the rock on the guy was a big WOW.
    I wish my body would do what those bodies did.:happy:

    Ah, no cable here and it's not on video - maybe someday.

    did they say 3,000 calories an hour????? If only!

    So if I walked from 8am to 8pm, would I lose, say 5 lbs? :bigsmile:
