last year i attempted the 30DS, i gave up after about 5days as i get so bored with the same thing way too easily! But iv now decided i seriously need to up my excersise if im going to achieve what i want as soon as possible! Im currently at a weight of 177lbs (aiming for 140lbs) and it all seems to be slowing down for me. Im gonna try anything to get some good losses over the upcoming weeks and so im thinking of giving the 30DS a go again, but this time sticking at it!!

For those who have done it, did you see a big transformation? did you lose visible fat? tone up? lose on the scales more than you would of done if not doing it? i do go to the gym 4/5 times a week anyways but even with what im doing there nothing seems to be happenening anymore!

From what I have heard from other about this, is that that lose more in inches with this workout than lbs on the scale. Good luck with it! I have made it past day 7!

I made 21 days before I got a flu and had to stop... I haven't got back to it since. I didn't lose any weight but my shape was definitely changing.
  • I'm not the only one then! I got up to day 15 and was like blahhh I want to go to the gym instead! Idk I personally didn't feel much different but I've seen before and after the 30 day pictures and peoples abs are definitely more defined!

I did it for a whole month. I didn't see any weight loss the whole time, or any inches lost. Although a couple of days after finishing I dropped significant weight pretty quickly.

Despite that, I did notice other changes. My endurance, strength, and mood were definitely improved by doing it.

I'm on day 15 (has taken 3 weeks as I do other exercise on some days) and have seen a real difference. I'm 5'8 and 129 so not looking to lose weight, just improve my ftness. My stomach has shrunk (two pregnancies and excess skin), my arms have become more defined and I can do 5 proper man press ups!!! I haven't noticed any changes in my lower body that I can see but I can fit into a size smaller so must have made changes there also. I did lose pounds the first 2 weeks but haven't lost any this week.

I do cardio at the gym about 3/4 times a week on top.

I do still struggle through some of the moves (and wanted to punch Jillian last night) but I find seeing other people post their progress (I often look through the before and after pictures) very motivating and also have a number of people on my friends list completing it so it keeps me going.

    Deffo worth trying again!

Im on day 21. I saw results from day 5. So far I have lost 5lbs in weight, 2 ins off my waist and 2 ins off my hips. I think the system is fab. Im usually the sort of person who gets fed up of fitness DVDs after a few days but this one is different, you see and feel results very early if you put the effort in. Theres no rule to say you have to do each level for 10 days, alot of people mix it up! Feel free to read my blog which follows my journey from day 1. I have enjoyed this programme so much that I intend to do ripped in 30 after I've completed my shred. Good luck!

It's a fitness DVD by Jillian Michaels. It promotes up to 20lbs weight loss in 30 days. There are 3 levels of workout, each workout 20 minutes each + warm up and cool down. It's hard work, but it gets results.

For me, it was about commitment. I did it and literally told myself many times "I committed to this. 20 min a day for 30 days is not too big of a commitment so what will it say about me if I don't follow through?" Also, telling people (and trying to get friends on board) helped because I would be embarrassed to quit. Good luck- you can do it! BTW, I am so glad I did and now still incorporate 30DS 3 times a week into my workout schedule. Got great muscle toning results.

I'm on day 3 at the moment, last time I gave up after 2 days as I just found Jillian too annoying and angry at me!! Though this time round I am doing other home workouts as well before to keep it exciting and hopefully I won't be getting too bored.

I'm a little slow going with this video too but I'm on day 8 tomorrow (rest day yesterday and today). I'm finding that something in the video is really hurting my 1 knee. Not sure if it's the lunges, jumping jacks or what. I'm taken the jumping jacks out and just jog in place but my knee is still bothering me so not sure what's up. I'm going to try and push through it though. I also do interval training on my treadmill a few times a week in conjunction with the video. I feel good and I think I'm getting results and I feel stronger.

I'm in the middle of level 1 and already feeling better! I don't do it every day, more like every other day. I love it because it isnt a huge time investment, but boy does it make me sweat!

I'm on it right now (day 3) and so far I'm loving it. It's only 20 mins and I WILL NOT give up! And to keep myself from getting bored/burned out, I'm doing 2 days shred, one day elliptical, 2 days shred, 1 rest day, and repeat.

I'm on day 21 Yeah! I had a days break as I was having problems with my knee, but I have noticed a significant difference. So has my husband and for him to notice anything means it must be really working. I have lost inches but no weight.

I did it for the 30 days, i could only do level 1 and 2, but I lost 3" in my waist at my belling button, and 1" in my hips, and almost an inch in my thighs. i am just going to do cardio for the mont of may so i can build up my endurance so when June comes I'm going to do the 30DS again and hopefully i can hit level 3 and accomplish it.

but it really does work, 3" in my waist is a big difference, my 14's fall off of me, so if you do it again,,,keep going you'll be glad you did.

This happened to me too. Im trying it again, but not for the 30 days straight.

I've finished it once and saw great results. I was disappointed that I didn't see any loss on the scale after a couple weeks, but I lost a couple of inches during the first level and by the end I had lost just over 4 inches in my waist. I started it again this week and I am hoping to see good results again. It is the hardest in the first week. Once you get past that it is much better. I actually found level 2 to be easier than level 1. Just stick with it and you will see a change. Make sure you take pictures when you start so you can compare at the end. I was shocked at the difference!

I got a really sore knee as well, I think it was the lunges for me even though my form was good. I took it easy for a couple of days and it got better and now my knees, which have always been weak, are a fair bit stronger.

I've done it before but not the full 30 days so I'm sticking with it this time! Difference in lbs and inches after week 1, I love Jillian!

I'm on level 1 day 9 today - found it very difficult to start with but by day 3 could do all of level 1 without stopping. I am now trying to move from Anita to Natalie on some of the exercise before moving to level 2. I haven't done it every day but have done other things instead, started C25K yesterday and am trying to do weights as well. Determined to tone up. This week I lost some inches as well as weight which I was really happy with and I am putting this down to 30DS. Think I will be doing level 1 for more than 10 days but I'm not moving up until I know I am ready for it. Good luck and stick with it :-)

Hello  Can I ask if anyone started this feeling that they had poor levels of fitness and strength and how you found it - did you manage? I have just ordered it online. I am 46 and139lb and up to about a month ago did absolutely NO physical exercise at all. I bought a treadmill about a month ago and have been using it for an hour + most days every week (very brisk walking and a little bit of running), but I have always felt that I have very poor physical strength (I know...maybe if I had done some exercise!!! lol!). I made a big decision yesterday to buy it having stopped myself several times because I was not sure I would have a hope of tackling it. I am positive and determined...I have made huge changes since I started in at mfp September, but I would just love a bit of reassurance that it is possible to start from almost zero and manage this. Has anyone done this that could tell me how they found it. Thank you if you can post a little about your experience.
