Wow! I've glanced at your photos a while ago but I've read your story and stats and I see that we have the same height and body type. Is your ultimate goal weight 145? I'm worried I'll look a little unhealthy in the 140's even though I have a medium frame too. :ohwell:

What a great story! I love your attitude - even your little additional story about your husband shows how positive you are. I agree with everyone else who says you look wonderful!

I checked out your link to HiitsDan's page and read (and read, and read, and read...). I have to say, I feel really dumb. I just don't get all the numbers and initials.

Is there any super-duper simple explanation? Like "just never eat below your BMR" and "never over your __________"?

Also, I'm curious about how you're tweaking your protein, fat and carbs.

If you don't have time to go into all this with me, I totally understand! (I'm sure your a busy mama!!) If so, though, that would be sweet!

    Congrats again. :)

I'll try not to bore you too much with my "story". My name is Amber. I'll be 26 this Tuesday. SAHM of 1 year old twins. I recently hit a major milestone of 100 lbs less than my highest known weight so I thought this would be a good time to share my progress so far. I started MFP on June 1st of last year; about 4 months after having my twins. I lost the majority of my weight following MFP suggestions of 1200-1500 calories and hit a major wall after about 9 months straight of that. A very sweet MFP friend ran some numbers for me and I am now losing weight again by eating around 1700 calories a day and really focusing on my carbs, fat, and protein. I really feel this is a much more sustainable way to lose weight than the 1200 calories I started with. Go here if you're interested http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/538381-in-place-of-a-road-map . I'm so overwhelmed by all of the info so I'm just thankful for my dear MFP friend who was willing to do the math for me. Ok, enough of me talking about things I don't even fully understand.....here are my stats and pictures :)
Oh, as far as exercise goes... I started out slow with Wii Fit, I still love burning calories with Dance Central and Dance Central 2 on XBox with Kinect (SO fun!!), I've done 30 Day Shred twice in the last 3 months, I go to the gym 2 days a week for a spin class and elliptical and/or treadmill.

    5' 7" with a medium-large frame
    HW- 286
    MFP SW- 257.4
    CW- 186
Next goal- 157.4 (100 lbs down from MFP SW)
UGW- 143 (HALF of my highest weight)

April 2009 at my highest weight.

Absolutely stunning success, I hope in the near future I can be just as great a success, thanks for the inspiration!!!
