Unusual things that you find calming?
So what are some things that you do or find calming that aren't usually the "norm" go to things that people say to do to relax? I'll go 1st.
1) Washing my hands. Sometimes ill take 2-5 minutes washing my hands because it so calming to me, healthy too
2) The smell of bell peppers. Weird I know, but I can even catch a smell of them in the grocery store and I just become instantly relaxed, lol.
3) Having tea with yogurt pretzels and/or trail mix. It reminds me of this spa I would go to, when while you were waiting for your massage, you could sit in their "den area" in you warm robe and have tea and they had trail mix and yogurt pretzels to snack on Now almost every night before bed, i re-do my spa experience.

Cleaning. If I'm upset or nervous, I tend to go crazy on my house. Especially the dishes. I will hand wash them instead of using the dishwasher.
I'll take a walk and listen to music. Any kind really. As long as I can zone out.
I will also take at least a 30 minute shower. I love the water, as hot as it can go, on my skin and I start to feel better and more myself.0 -

Have you ever seen the movie Amelie? One of her professed life's small pleasures is immersing one's hand in a sack of grain and I totally agree.

A combination of the following scents: pine trees, roses, coconut oil. I discovered this from a friend who does aromatherapy with essential oil. The reason? As a child, we had a pool outdoors in the mountains (pine trees), thus the coconut oil, and a rose garden on the border of the pool :glasses:0
