Hi - Looks like this thread is a hit !
I'm new to MFP and just starting on a new path of combining counting and exercise and I think I've finely hit on a route that will work.
I've set a goal to get to by end of Sept and have been hitting the elipical at a local gym in the morning.
But, I have a lot of doubts about how to set goals and strategies and have a vacation coming up that I'm worried will derail me so, if the MFPers have advice I'm all ears.
Whoops that was longer that most posts to this thread :-)

That's amazing! Congrats. What was your strategy? I've been counting calories, eating better for the most part, and exercising more than I used (which was not at all) and I have yet to see any weight loss. I have, however, gained muscle.
