I am very lazy.... so the only "exercise" I get is my daily routine. So for me, calorie counting works. I orginially losy 65lbs this way... stopped tracking and it slowly crept back up. :( That's the reason I am back and will just have to keep tracking even when I get to the weight I want.
Currently 10lbs loss from calorie counting in about 2.5 weeks. It's a lot, I know, but most of it was water weight.

i count calories as well as making sure i get more than is asked for protien and fiber. I drink no less than 8 glasses of water daily, and I do 30 ds daily ( almost daily) and take a brisk 15 to 30 min walk ... I dont want the flab to start hanging so I am exercising to wake those dead muscles up.

I started at 165, lost 10 on Weight Watchers, gained 5 back, then started MFP Feb 2012 and have lost 18 to get to my current 142. I do cardio 5 days a week and strength training 2-3 times per week. WW has always worked for me, but calorie counting and whole food supplementation in addition to the exercise have really done the trick. I'm seeing numbers on the scale that I haven't seen since college. And I'm 53 so that tells you how long ago THAT was!
