how often should a person weigh themselves ? i get dis-couraged because i weigh myself everyday

    There is no problem weighing every day. Those that weigh everyday tend to track their weight. It's possible to track weight gain against net calories for example using a graph, to see if there are trends. However, you should only COMPARE at least weekly, not daily. If you weigh yourself daily, compare your weight to the previous week rather than the day before. It's possible to fluctuate up to 5lbs either way in any 24hr period.

    Agree with jfaure23, weighing everyday is fine but know that your weight will fluctuate.

    Once a week will avoid the fluctuations you will see doing it daily. Pick a day and weigh yourself same day, same time.
