Well I'm only down 19 lbs but feeling pretty good about this! Hopefully I can keep it going. It's a small change but I'm still pretty pumped :)

And yes, if you're referring to strength training. Weights make a big difference in fat loss, EVERYONE should be lifting.

    Great job by the way!

You may have only lost 19 lbs... but you are replacing it with muscle (which is much denser)... By appearance you may could have lost 60 lbs... Keep at it... I bet if you compared body fat percentages you have lost much more than 19 lbs of fat... Just muscle is heavier. Great job.

Hey everyone thank you a million times over for all the words of encouragement! I am not doing anything specific in my weight training. In fact, I am just using the arm and leg machines at my gym. When I began a few months back, I wasn't feeling anything in my arms because I had no back muscles! So it was a little painful to begin. Now I'm just doing 25 min. Or so of cardio then doing weights 1-2 times per week. I just hope my body doesn't get bored and plateau!! Again, thank you for the kind words. I know we're all here for the same thing but putting up pics is kinda scary! :)

    Great job! Big difference.
I am starting on weight machines 3x a week plus cardio 5-6 days a week. I need to get some free weights into my routine, but not sure where to start. I am also looking to lose 100 pounds and close to 20 pounds down. We are on similar course. Feel free to add me if you want.

Wow that is great progress. "only" 19 pounds. 1) 19 lbs is a huge accomplisment. 2) However it does look like much more than that. The weights are definitely working for you. Keep up the great work :)

If I'd had to guess, I would've guessed a hell of a lot higher than 19lbs based on those two photos. Nice work!
