Yesterday,
one of my workers was shocked to see me in my outfit. She couldn't believe how much weight I have lost. Great feeling. She also asked my advice on what she can do to lose weight and get fit.
When people start asking you how to lose weight you know you've hit the big leagues. Congratulations!0 -
Last fall I bought a coat on sale hoping that someday I would fit into it. Yesterday when I tried the coat on to show to my husband it was too big! I cant see the changes in my body yet but other people can and my clothes are getting much looser!
I have lost 16 lbs since Christmas, 7 of them after joining MFP!0 -
Great ! That's aweomse. The payoff moments are great . Mine was last weekend when I noticed that I could lift 60lb bags of cement without an issue! Even the men were struggling but I just hauled them like it was nothing. Then I measured myself and saw that I lost and inch since I started measuring myself which made me feel great. Also my boyfriend started commenting on how tight my body was getting and that made me feel even better.0

I had a nice little NSV this morning. Just last night I was asking my husband "Can you tell I've lost? Why has no one else noticed?" You know.. that kind of thing.
Well, this morning as I walked into work (wearing a pair of jeans that would not even button when I started this journey) a coworker stopped me and asked "Wow, you are really losing some weight, aren't you?"
I know I had to grin from ear to ear... told her she was the first one that had noticed... and I hugged her. lol0 -
It's a toss up between my belt being to big to fit...
..or...
I found an old pair of jeans in the back of my closet, and they fit!0 -
My first NSV came yesterday.......sorry is this is TMI for some people....
Had to pee really bad, should have done it before leaving work but didn't. Got home, having to pee even worse, but the dog was dancing more than me so he got to go first. By the time I got the bathroom I was running (10 cups of water per day) I was in so much of a hurry I didn't even notice that I pulled my JEANS down without unzipping them. I'm sure my neighbors heard my WHOHOO when I did my happy dance. Congrats to everyone on their own personal victories, each and every one has been earned and deserved.0 -
Congrats on your new bikini!!
I work at a chocolate shop which is not the easiest thing when trying to lose weight and become more fit. Yesterday I was able to resist the chocolates on our reject tray which had my absolute favorite flavor on it. It's a small, tiny little thing, but I was super proud of myself and my will power last night.0 -
Wow great job everyone! I'm smiling just from reading your posts! This morning when I went to work out one of the ladies I haven't seen in a while did a little double take and said wow I can really see your progress. It felt so nice & a pair of pants that were tight 3 weeks ago are almost to the point of no return cuz they are getting too big.0

Have soooooo completely been in this situation before, can't wait to be there again!!!:happy:0 -
Fantastic everyone!!!! I love reading all the happy little things that you would never think of before being such a great thing now. My NSV is that I finally did a pull up unassisted!! Only one, but it's just the beginning!0
-
Great job everyone!!! Keep it up!! My hubby told me that my butt has gotten smaller!!!0
-
I had to buy a new belt, too, my favorite casual/cute one won't cinch enough any more.0
-
First off, want to congratulate everyone on their personal NSV's! My NSV was that I was able to run 2 miles in just under 26 minutes last night for the first time (my best time ever)...not too bad for someone that weighed in @ over 300lb's a few months ago and hadn't run in yeeeeears, lol Good luck to everyone with their weight loss journey's :drinker:0
-
My NSV for today was actually being able to jog 15 minutes straight and do 3.0 miles in 60 mins. My goal is to cut that in half and be able to do a 30 min 5k by the end of my C25k program... but it's a start... and its a heck of a lot better than I have ever been able to do before! The elliptical/bike/other cardio are paying off now that I have been brave enough to step foot on a tread-mill0

That's great!
Mine was fitting into a size 6 jeans!! I still can't believe it!0 -
That's amazing(:
Since being 7 years old, I haven't worn a bikini... that's going to be my BIG reward once I've lost it all(:
My NSV is (not mega recent... happened a few weeks ago) but running 6 miles!!!!!!!!! :bigsmile:0 -
I ran a full mile without stopping for the first time today.
That's awesome!!!
When I ran my first mile (only February of this year!) it was like THE BEST feeling ever(: I was on cloud 9 and nothing could upset me.
Enjoy your victory!!! 1 mile is a big one(:0 -
I love your story because getting my jeans down before I wet my pants is a major goal of mine. Also, since my one and only bathroom is on the second floor, being fit enought to "run" to it would be a dream come true.0
-
congrats OP
I have two NSVs today.
First, it was chilly this morning so I was wearing a hoodie I purchased a month and a half ago. I remember when I bought it it was tight (not a lot of size choices, it was that or get a huge one) and I asked my husband if he thought it was too tight for me to wear before I bought it. Aaaaanyway, today I noticed that it's baggy!
Second, I had to run to catch the bus and I caught it and didn't even get winded.0 -
OMG!! That is awesome! I dread trying on swimsuits. I am my worst critic. That is a wonderful NSV. I guess mine would be taking a picture without having chubby cheeks!0

What's NSV?0

I looked in the mirror this morning after getting dressed for work and thought, "Hmmm, not that bad" :-)0

I actually like the way I look naked... :blushing:0
-
My favorite NSV's along this journey are....the day I was able to put my wedding ring back on, the day I fit into size 4 jeans, the day I fit into size 2 jeans, the day I realized I was running without gasping for air and I too am now a proud owner of a bikini. Haven't worn one since high school.0
-
I'm still on a high from completing the c25k yesterday evening.0
-
Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
My first NSV was when I put on these jeans of mine. I had them in my closet for over a year unable to get into them with a huge massive muffin top...haha I could barely do them up. Now, I actually have room in them to spare!
I also recently bought a pair of pants online in a size smaller than my previous size and they were still too big! I had to go back and get a pair that wasn't just one size smaller, not even two sizes, but THREE sizes smaller!!0 -
OP taht is an awesome one!!!
I dont have one today..
but great job for you!!0 -
I can wear shorts in public! Just like a few other posters have said, I have been painfully self conscious of my legs for most of my adult life, so to put on a pair of shorts and wear them out of the house was really something for me. :-) I was so excited I changed my profile pic. What a dork, right?
Congrats on the bikini! That is seriously amazing. I mean that from the bottom of my heart because that is one of my goals also! I have actually only worn one once since childhood.0 -
What's NSV?
AHHHH, thanks!! In that case for me it was most definitely SIX PACK + obliques!!! 30" waist pants at Banana Republic was nice, too. NSD then despite not being asked, was wife saying I was too skinny...she came around eventually.0
