One year, 70 lbs GONE

So in 2 days it marks my 1 year anniversay with MFP. I have learned so much along the way-- changed things up alot and I have totally transformed how I look. I have lost 70 lbs, still have13 to go. When I first started, I had 83 lbs to lose. That's ALOT. I would never thought I could make it this far. If I did, I probably would have taken "before" pictures. Instead I hid from the camera. Sooo.... here's the pictures!
I have more to go... but of course I have come a long way. Physically & mentally, I am stronger! Thanks to all my friends for cheering me on the whole way! ♥

Way to go! Thats awesome!!0

you look great. You don't have more to go, unless you want to parabolically start looking worse. That's just my opinion based solely on your photos. Recall too that building muscle will likely increase your weight. That wouldn't be bad. We are too programmed to think that less "weight" = hotter. That's not always true.0

U look awesome!!! WTG on your awesome transformation!!!0

r u sure u didnt have any weight loss surgery?
interesting! since all these weight loss surgeries became popular more and more people claim drastic weight loss by diet and exercise
geez....and so what if she did have surgery? who cares? she still lost the weight...what, she didn't earn some badge for suffering? I guess the 70 pounds doesn't really count then right?0 -

I hope you are joking...
Because I haven't had any surgery and I have lost even more weight in just 8 months.
She lost 70 pounds in a year, that is GREAT and SAFE. Jeesh, please tell everyone you are joking, and not that ignorant.0 -

Thanks everyone!
Oh and no weightloss surgery. I was 218 lbs and don't know if I would have qualified. Calorie restriction (at first) and alot of sweat... two-a-days for the last few months have been it.
I started around 1200 cals a day, weekends were free. Then I started getting serious when I lost about 25 lbs. I realized I could do it. I would have a cheat day once in a while. Then I hit several plateaus.... I started working out-- weights, weights, weights and more food. I eat 2000 cals or so now, less if I dont work out.
I remember looking at the before/after pictures of other members when I first started and remember how much it motivated me, so I decided to post this.
I appreciate all the positive comments!0 -
