i'd say weigh in as often as you want... i know some people only weigh in once a week and some others, including myself, have a love/hate relationship with the scale and weigh themselves every day...lol. i figure i'll weigh in every few days or so...
  • I am new to the boards! I just found the site yesterday!

This challenge is exactly what I am looking for! I need to kick start my program and take some responsibility. Unfortunately, I love food. I will need some support folks!!

    Original weight: 150
    Current: 149
    Goal for the 4th: 140
    Eventual Goal: 120

    Thanks for the invite!

woohoo we love new people! we are here for you... you can do it! i love food too, no worries. my mantra: you can eat anything you want, you just can't eat EVERYthing you want. it's like when you want a pair of amazing shoes, but it will eat 75% of your paycheck, you can buy them, you just have to earn some extra cash and watch your money. i do that with calories. i can have one "big ticket item" if i really want, i just have to go to the gym to work a lot of it off and try to eat healthy the rest of the day. that way i never have to give up my favorite foods and i still lose weight!

    Starting weight: 188 lbs:noway:
    Current weight: 172.5 lbs.
    Goal weight: 145 lbs.
Goal for the 4th of July: 160 lbs., and hopefully a lb. or two more

I am also doing the "no scale" challenge *haven't cheated yet* so I won't weigh in again until May 20th.

We should all post pictures of ourselves on July 4th so we can share how well we are doing! I looked at a picture that my sister took of me about four months ago, and a picture taken yesterday, and holy crap what a difference!

    That's a great idea.:drinker:
  • I love the idea of posting pictures!! It of course can feel a bit intimidating, but both a reward and encouragement for the future.

My previous max weight was 180 and getting those pics out REALLY helps encourage me to get back with the program.
