Am I the only fan of the Washington Nationals on MFP?

I made a group about the Nats, so if you're a fan, feel free to join :)

Me! whats up with the injuries? bad day for stras :(
  • I agree. Strassy (as my father has nicknamed him) was way off today. He only got four innings, which kind of surprised me - the great Strasburg didn't get a chance to regain his control. Also, yeah, the injuries list is just getting ridiculous! First Ramos, now Leon? I felt so bad for Leon because it was his first game in the MLB. At least he's only out for a few days...they're taking him day-by-day. Morse'll be back soon, and Storen is expected to be back at the All-Star break. Werth will be out for at least nine more weeks.

Since they're local I'll go to games and cheer for them, but I am primarily and Indians fan!
  • Nooo! Not the Braves!

I have nothing against the Indians, though.

If Ty Wiggington is your first baseman, you should probably check out playing in the Eastern League, I heard Reading was tough this year

And that's why everyone in the NL East should be aware. Guys like Galvis, Wiggington and Mayberry are playing daily and the Phils are only 4.5 games out of first place. Just wait for the cavalry to arrive.

Um...the Nationals had to have a "take back the park" campaign because Phillies fans continually over run the place. Granted, our positions in the NL East are currently reversed; but it's only a matter of time before that's remedied, I'm sure.

Howard no, no steroids. Utley I do question myself. Even when he comes back I am not expecting much. More than Galvis but probably not 300 with 30 homers and 100 RBI's

Yup...Yankees are my squad but since I live in Fairfax...I have to pull for the Nats....I hate the Redskins though....Wish Caps could have hung in there.

And they did a nice job of trying to keep us out. they actually didn't allow people to buy tickets for that series UNLESS you were a Maryland, DC or Virginia resident. Some how our fans still showed up. But not as many as the last few season.

I totally would've gone...after my family, the thing I miss most about being away from PA is not being able to go to games

Im going on a group trip to the Baltimore series too. :)
The NL East is slowly getting back to normal. Braves going to the top. Nats starting to come back down to earth. Marlins doing ok. Phils bats starting to show up again and if they can just keep around .500 by the time Howard comes back they should be okay. Remember 2 years ago we were in 3rd place at the all star break (Braves and Mets were 1st and 2nd) and we won the division... last year we won an insane 104 games.. we are spoiled...this year will be tougher than in the past no doubt, but we are still the team to beat. Other NL East teams better take advantage of all our injuries while they can because once our players start coming back there will be no stopping us.

its not so much about Phillies fans taking over the park its more about them getting some time away from their God forsaken city. :)

I'm just excited that the division isn't wrapped up by Mid June. Actually have some competition this season. Last season the Braves hung in there but everyone knew it was only a matter of time before they came back down to earth. This season the entire division is better and the Phil's are not as good as seasons past. Makes for great baseball!
