Hi everyone, i'm new here.

i'm a massage therapist, i do 2 - 4 massages every work day, it's exhausting and physical and hard work... but it's not like you know, a cardio workout or whatever. When i'm trying to sort out my daily activity... how do i account for that, any ideas?

1 hour massage = 30 minutes of yoga?
1 hour massage = 1 hour of... i have no idea. Help?

Weird, i'll look again, but i didn't see massage listed as an activity.

i don't have a HRM. Maybe i'll look into one.

If you do it every day why not just change your activity level up? It'll give you more base calories to begin with.

If you do them sporadically then I guess maybe housework if you can't find massage?

My schedule varies by appointment....some weeks are busy, some are not. Right now i am crazy busy, but that will even out. i think my problem is more that i am not sure i'm setting my baseline correctly anyway.

rather than counting this as an exercise, you could choose a different lifestyle which will recalculate your BMR.

    try this http://www.self.com/calculatorsprograms/calculators/caloriesburned/giving_massage

then enter it as your own work out ?

or like others have said .. just increase your activity level
