Hello everyone, my name is Aly. I'm 23, a SAHM to a 6mo little boy named Rhett & two furbabies and a military wife. I have had the MFP app on my phone for a while now, but I have just this week really made the commitment to track every single meal and to being working out (mostly cardio) 5 days a week. I am looking to lose 30 pounds, and reclaim my health. I gained 15 pounds after I had my breast reduction because I had a small hemmoraging and was not allowed to lit anything leaver than a half gallon of milk, lift my arms above shoulder height, or raise my bp too much for 6mos in hope of my avoiding a second hemmoraging. As soon as I started to get into the habit of working off those 15 lbs, wouldnt you know it but I found out I was expecting. I gained 15lbs with my pregnancy that has got to go too! The extra 30 lbs that I am carrying around is taking a toll on my spine!
I also want to main tain my fitness, because my son has a severe congeintal heart defect and being physically fit is something that he will need to work on for the rest of his life to help keep extra strain off of his heart. I want to lead by example, and be a healthy role model for him, so that fitness is not a chore but a way of life.
I would love to have some friend on here to help keep me motivated and accountable; I find that when I have friends who are acivtly pursuing the same goals as I am that it makes it easier for me.
Here's to all of us finding happier and HEALTHIER versions of ourselves!

Wow...you have a lot on your plate here. I use the app daily but I have been starting to log onto the computer.
Feel free to add me & maybe we can learn from each other. Myself, I'm a single Dad with 2 kids & have lost 20 lbs since Feb. If I can do that...just about anyone can!
Best of luck to you0 -
Welcome!!!
Hope I can be of some help!
Add me if you'd like!
I've been a mom for 17 years...so I have learned some pretty awesome things! Some of which I can pass on to young moms!!0 -

Hey y'all I will absolutely add you all, lol. I really like seeing friends on my feed when I check in with my app. Since the message boards are not available and I prefer the app to the computer, its nice to see some encouragement and motivation coming from other people helping themselves.
I am currently doing the Leslie Sansone Walk at Home DVD that I bought at the store last week, and I FEEL an improvement even if I can't track it (I don't own a scale; they're bad for my mental health. LOL) - and am excited to continue to feel better as I continue the program.
What programs/exercises are you using? What have you found that works best for you?0
