Hello everyone!! I am in search of some new recipes for ground turkey. I bought A BUNCH of it when it was on sale now I don't know what to do with it. I have a couple of recipes that turned out pretty good but I'm always looking to try something new.
Thanks for your input.

I substitute everything that calls for beef with turkey. I make turkey chilis and meatloaf. Turkey burgers were a huge hit even with my kids. Tonight I'm making Turkey crock pot cheeseburgers. I will be making turkey mexican lasagna this weekend.0

Fry it up with Adobo seasoning and throw together a side of fresh steamed veggies.0

I make "Thanksgiving meatloaf". I don't really use recipes, I just throw in stuff so this is not precise.
Ground Turkey
Bread crumbs and seasoning from box of stove top stuffing (1/2 box for 1lb turkey, full box for 2lbs)
Shredded carrots
finely diced onions and celery
an egg or two
milk
Bake 350 for 45 minutes to an hour
Top each slice with turkey gravy (i go light on this for myself but the man and the boy ladle it on)
Sometimes I top it with cranberries.
Anything goes.0 -

I use skinnytaste.com a lot. This burger looks and sounds delicious. Thanks for sharing.0 -
I cook it in a little chicken or veggie stock, just enough so it doesn't stick to the pan.
Add sliced mushrooms and onions, ground tumeric, cumin, and corriander.
If I have them in the fridge, I'll add eggplant and zucchini too.
Serve it with cous cous.0 -

Stuffed Bell Peppers - Ground turkey, mushrooms, tomatoes, mozzarella...
These were amazing! And when I put the recipe into MFP they came out to be less than 300 calories per bell pepper!0 -
I use ground turkey in chili and in meat sauce. So delicious. I'm sure that you can find a very good meatloaf recipe too, we're just not big meatloaf eaters in my family.0

We use it for making chili, but I especially like our turkey tacos! We just use a taco seasoning packet and add it to the ground turkey.... yummy!0

I have to agree with everyone else. Use it like you would ground beef. Have you tried ground chicken? 9 g of fat in 4 oz of meat if you buy regular but ground turkey breast is only 2 g fat in 4 oz. I will be honest, the regular ground chicken has a richer taste and I prefer it when making recipes that call for ground beef. Same thing for ground turkey. You should buy the 85/15 before the 93/7 so you still get that lovely "meaty" taste.0

I cook it with Garlic Salt and ground Cumin and use it to top salads or taco's... very delish!0

We use it in our tacos and burgers...hardly ever buy ground beef anymore!0

I make meatloaf with it. I cut bell peppers in half, make a meatloaf mix like you normally would (only with the turkey) and cook them in a pan until it starts to get brown. Then throw some diced tomatoes on top and bake in the oven until the meat is complete. It's soooo good!0

I meant to say put the meatloaf mix in the bell pepper halves0 -
Skinnytaste.com has a lot of great healthy and EASY recipes. I recently made skinny chicken parmigiana and it tasted amazing! I got the stamp of approval from the hubby...so that will be a regular running recipe for us.0

I NEVER buy ground beef anymore! I heart me some turkey!0 -
Thanks for the suggestions. I was wondering what to make for dinner since it's right before payday and grocery day.. The meat loaf sounds good..0

For a quick and easy meal I'll take a pound of ground turkey, brown it and then add a can of rotel tomatoes & chili and a can of organic tri-bean blend (drained) from Krogers; serve over quinoa with veggies on the side. Yesterday I put it into the crock pot and just let it simmer all day with a couple of bay leaves...worked pretty well that way too.0

One of my faves is patting them out like salisbury steak, season with onion powder and brown, then add Campbell's Healthy Request Cream of Mushroom to the pan like gravy! YUM!0
