Hi, Is it neccessary to count fruit calories in our regular food when accounting for calories? Because My calorie goal is 1200 and I am always exceeding 200-300 cals most of the times in a week unless I burn 300-400 cals. With this I also am scared to eat fruits and raw veggies as they are adding up to the calories and hitting 100 cals very easily. But How ever controlled I eat I am not loosing any weight. My weight is static but I can say I am loosing in inches. but I am dissappointed and discouraged because I am not seeing any tipical weight loss.

I day if I see a 2 pound weight loss in my wieght and the next day at the same time I see no such difference.. I am not sure what's going on here.

Please throw your valuable suggestions.

Unfortunately when it comes to weight loss, every calorie counts. Some fill you up more than others, some are healthier than others, but every single one of them counts.

I feel your pain. I spent 3 months losing 3 pounds, gaining 2 pounds and beating myself up a little. 2 weeks ago I decided to cut carbs and not worry *as much* about calories. I don't count total carbs, I only count "net carbs"--carbs minus fiber and sugar alcohols. The first week of cutting net carbs, I lost almost 5 pounds--and there were days that I HAD to have an evening snack to hit 1200 calories. I do eat fruit, but lower carb fruits like raspberries and blackberries. I have even eaten out a few times!!

I've eaten approx. 273 calories worth of fruits and vegetables today. I am not worried. Eating fruits and vegetables isn't what made me gain weight. It was the constant drive thru trips and mindless eating of chips and other stuff like that, a lot of the bad carbs (simple carbs)

Sometimes you just have to tweak things and play around with what you eat and how much. Different things work for different people.

If you eat them, count them.

If fruits and raw veggies are putting you over, eat them first.

If you are losing inches, then don't fuss about the scale not moving right now.

1200 calories may be too low for you.

ALL calories count! 1200 calories per day is really low. Maybe up your calories to see weight loss again. See the group Eat More to Lose More. It really works and there's no reason to starve yourself to lose weight! Best of luck to you!
