    In use water (with squash to make it taste better)

    Depends if can:
    1) cope with taste with water alone - milk's nicer
    2) want the extra calories - protein and carbs

    For me the shakes with water can get me the protein I need and still be under my calorie goal

    I do this probably 3-5 mornings a week, since I rarely have time for a real breakfast:

    1 scoop chocolate protein powder
    8-12oz black coffee
    Lots of ice!

    Shake it up, and I've got a delicious mocha protein drink!

    I drink Protein shakes. Generally speaking I make a "Meal" shake with Fruit, PRotein, and Milk. IF I just need to boost my protein number for the day I will make a protein smoothie with ice and water

    It really is! I get my morning protein boost AND my beloved caffeine all in one!

    I make mine with water. I'm a lot more picky about the brands I use because, while most taste great when made with milk, only a few taste good when made with water.

    I really need one that tastes good with water, but everyone on here has a point of mixing it with milk when its a meal replacement or half water and half milk.

    Agreed. Will need to go buy Chocolate protein powder.

    I make them with water unless I need extra calories for the day, in which case I will blend with fruit or mix with milk.
