Why is it that even though I have entered my exercises for the day it still shows zero in the exercise column where as the goal, food, and net have a numeric value?

If you entered it under exercise notes, then nothing will show up.
You need to enter it under cardiovascular or strength training
if you want to see the minutes and/or calories.
I hope this helps!0 -
If you are entering them in the strength area it doesn't transfer to calories burned. You have to also add them to "stregth" or "circuit" in the cardio area.
Or did I read your question wrong?0 -
no you read it perfectly I believe, I will try that. I have entered it in the add new exercise, (not in the note section) and I assumed that would be good enough,i will try adding to the circuit area. thank you very much0

You can invent a new exercise
I have invented 'ninja gardening" (I can't believe how low they have gardening, planting daisies much) and "grinder - hand bike".
Having registered them on your "my exercises" part you can then add them to your aerobics daily diary entries.0 -
I was just getting ready to ask this very same question. I added the following to strength and it shows 0.
Push Ups - 20
Sit Ups - 100
Upright Row - 40 (10 lb)
Bicep Curls - 40 (10 lb)
Deadlift - 40 (10 lb)
Calf lifts - 40 (10 lb)
How do I calculate a calorie amount for this?0 -
The calories you burn during work outs don't count, unless it is an aerobic type exercise. Which is were your heart rate stays elevated. However the other post are correct if you want credit for your work outs you either have to enter in the Cardio section or add the exercise and the calories you burned doing it in the strength training section. Eventually you can have your hole work out entered and you shouldn't have to hunt down what you did to much.0

There is a category under cardiovascular exercise for strength training. Also, some sites like LIVESTRONG and others offer estimates of calories burned doing strength and weight training. You DO burn calories doing that but it's much less per unit of time than the normal cardio exercises (And its greatest benefit is the metabolic boost you get that makes the cardio you might do immediately after weights burn more calories.).0
