I got my lab tests back from my cholesterol exam- and it is ridiculously high. I take meds and my cholesterol is mostly genetic!
My doc thinks my meds are not working? is that possible???

Few factors. Yes cholesterol is genetic. Sometimes no matter how good you are it's out of your control. With that said. The meds should be lowering it. Don't worry, everyone is different. This dose, brand, combination isn't for you.
Work closely with your dr, And both of you will find the right med, combination that works for you.
Short term high cholesterol isn't going to harm you. Just be patient and eat properly and it will all work out.
