calories count for home made sauce...

Hi all,

I make my own salad dressing and I am not sure how to count them as I don't even measure most of the time when I cook.

For some of my salads, I usually drizzle a bit of light soy sauce (maybe 2 tsps) and sesame seed oil (also about 2tsps) as my mix. How do I find the calories for that and count for the salads I eat?

Thanks!~

If you look at the back of the Sesame Seed Oil and Light Soy Sauce, the container should list the calories. Just use the nutritional info. Add them together. Lettuce has very few calories, something like 14 in two cups of it. Pretty much everything you eat will have some calorie info on the back.

Look on the bottles of the soy sauce and oil for the calorie count, or look on the database here and that specific brand might be on here. That's usually how I do it. Be sure to measure so you're getting an accurate count.
