Ashtanga yoga

I've been doing Ashtanga yoga for almost 2 months and I LOVE it. I was wondering if there were others out there who also do Ashtanga. Most people that I've talked to aren't familiar with it, so I just wanted to see who else out here is doing it.

For those who do not know what Ashtanga yoga is here are a few links that describes it - http://www.ashtanga.com/html/background.html or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashtanga_Vinyasa_Yoga.

Namaste...

Hey, I do ashtanga :) Or at least I think that's what it is! Love it too.

You've done very well with your weight loss x

I love Ashtanga. I practiced it for several years and was in the best shape of my life then. Lately I've been doing hatha and other forms but just decided to go back to a daily practice. :)

I've done both ashtanga and hatha yoga. I personally like hatha a little bit better. I have been doing yoga regularly about 3 months...off and on. I like how much it relaxes me and I am flexible again.

    I'm an Ashtanga woman :-)

I think it's great, balanced exercise.

It looks like this is an old chain but, in case you're still out there, I wanted to chime in. I've practiced ashtanga yoga in the traditional 6 days/week mysore style for about 2 years now. I used to also practice vinyasa but am now solely ashtanga. It has been a godsend for my body (arthritis, chronic back pain, etc.) I too am curious who else in this community is a practicing ashtangi.
