I HATE THIS PHONE

I'm not usually one for ranting, but I'm SO pissed off at my phone right now (Atrix). EVERYTHING on it is breaking RIGHT after the warranty is up.

Just a few weeks after I got it, I dropped it from my lap to the floor and the screen shattered to pieces. FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUU gorilla glass. Turns out that in order to make it very, very scratch-resistant, they have to make it very, very brittle. *kitten*.

Warranty up in February. March, my headphone jack stops working, so no music at the gym. Go the bluetooth headphones route last week. Fast forward to now and my wifi and bluetooth are gone. Guess who won't be getting anything else from Motorola.

    My Motorolas have all been poo, except for the Razr. I stick to Samsung nowadays. My brother has a Samsung Galaxy somethingsomething - exceptionally good phone, runs on Android.

    iPhones are for hipsters :p I tried an iPod a couple of years ago but the iTunes software and the whole supporting package was a shambolic abomination.

    Oh man, that is crazy!
    It's so weird, because remember back before all the smart phones motorola made some of the best cell phones? You could throw them in to walls and step on them and they would literally last forever.

    I've done the iPhone thing before and didn't hate the phone itself, but I'm generally not a Mac person. I'm a software developer, so I'm working with Windows most of the time. The Apple mentality and compatibility issues drive me nuts.

    I can "upgrade" to a Samsung Galaxy II Skyrocket for $9.99, so I may be going that route. *sigh*

    Yes, lol. When something gets advertised as tough as nails and then shatters at the first bit of stress I get a little pissed about it. But the cracked screen doesn't really bother me as much as the rest of it. Dropping (even if it was only a foot and a half) was my fault and I lived with the cracked screen for more than a year. I'm mad because now everything else seems to be going haywire for no apparent reason.

    Gorilla glass was never touted as being unbreakable. It is just more scratch resistant.
