I have been struggling with wanting to eat every five minutes....I'm managing but can't say I've been anywhere close to perfect....I should have started TOM about 2 weeks ago - still nothing - no worries about being pregnant or anything it's the meds I take but good grief - enough PMS already I usually only have this problem one day before - it's been a solid week....!!!!

Finished my 5k on Saturday - super amazing experience - can't wait for the next one...

Going to hit the gym for strength tonight followed by maybe a 15 minute run - going to try to increase my speed from what I've done - after watching biggest loser and Jillian having them do 8.5 mph for 30 seconds - I'm gonna try it - then back to the normal pace - 5.2 - 5.5 mph for the remainder - should be fun! I really don't know if my legs can move 8.5 MPH!!!!
  • HI! Are you still welcoming new members? I've never tried this before but you all sound really friendly!

I have not done the 8.5 mph yet but the 8 mph felt like quite an accomplishment when I did it for 30 sec. I have been starving every day too. Even after having high fiber meals I still am hungry. I guess I need to really start watching my protein intake again too.

Congratulations on finishing the 5k--I hope your time is in your liking. My ultimate goal is to run a 5k in 30 min without stopping. I think that would be great!

We are getting some great new members! I am excited to add everyone in. Lets have a great weigh in on Wednesday!

Hey all!! Sooo sorry for disappearing on you guys! :frown: After finally getting my car back on the road, it's just been headaches. Not to mention, I'm still jobless and looking for something decent. I highly doubt I'm still in the 180's but haven't had the nerve to weigh myself in weeks. Guess it's time to get back on track huh?

    Are weigh-in's still on Wed.?

Okay I just went and assessed the damage.....up 6.5lbs since I was last here!!! Ugh. Guess that's what fast food twice a day will do to ya. As well as staying up til it's light outside and drinking absolutely no water.

As of right now, water only, no more fast food, and back to p90x and running. I was losing 2 or 3lbs a week before...time to get back to it! :drinker:

Rach - another new haircut or same cut just styled differently - looks fantastic - we've missed you!

I only got up to 7.5 MPH - if I went higher I was trying to hold on - so I'll try again next time but I did it for a minute --- I'll get to 8.5 without holding on - just gotta get coordinated enough to do it! Next time I think I'll try 8 mph for a minute or two and keep working up.

Did strength training last night then treadmill for 15 minutes. Bad day for sodium yesterday but for supper I made a chicken dish - super easy and SO yummy.....

sprayed 9x13 baking dish - put in skinless chicken thighs poured cream of chicken soup over them, spinkled with the Herb flavored stove top stuffing - added a can of water - baked - it was so yummy or I was really hungry :) but the sodium from the soup and stuffing wasn't so good. Had rutabagas and green beans on the side.....mmmmm...leftovers for lunch maybe.......

Rach I am so glad you are back!! I do love the new pic, you look fantastic!

Chrissyh-that chicken sounds really yummy! It really is hard to not hold on to the treadmill. I think I would want a cage to keep Jillian away from me if I was on the biggest loser. I would be crying and saying but I have to hold on!! (Especially at 8.5 mph)

I was good last night I made cookies and took them to neighbors--I ate a few myself, but I don't have so many leftovers now which is a bonus.

I reevaluated things last night and I am going to start giving myself points for the good things I do. I get feeling defeated when I can't make weight goals so if I am able to reward myself for eating my vegies, logging my food, staying in my calorie budget and that sort of thing, I will automatically lose-and not be so attached to the scale.

Goal today is to get at least three points  I get a prize (Shoes, new haircut, earrings) for every hundred points I tabulate. This will be fun!

Neat idea debnu1! Don't forget to reward yourself for exercising and the act of remove those baked goods from the house - that definitely deserves a high five!

High five to me for having a perfect first week! I sorta had an early reward - visit to the hair salon this past Saturday :flowerforyou:

debnu - that's a great idea....I've set goals for myself all along with rewards....just some of the big ones....at 25pounds I bought a polar f6 heart rate monitor, 50 pounds I got my ipod shuffle to run with, at 75 pounds we went to the beach for a short weekend--my reward - getting to run on the beach!....yes more than a typical reward but it timed out perfectly to work as a great reward....at 90 pounds I want Bose headphones for my shuffle OR a HRM that's a GPS so I know how fast and how far i've run....in between I've done pedicures, 30 day shred dvd, things like that....it really helps me....if you notice most of the rewards also were encouraging more loss in the future too! And congrats on moving those cookies out the door - feels good to know you made a smart choice - doesn't it??

    Taradise - way to go!

I am really glad I got rid of most of my cookies--or I would really be in trouble today. I found out a little bit ago that the house we had an offer in on (short sale) had an offer $20k more than ours so chances are (unless there is a miracle) we won't be getting it. :grumble:   :brokenheart:  We could throw out another offer but honestly we don't think the house is worth that much more. I had avoided the last of the cookies until then. But I actually logged them all and I drank a lot of water with them too. So I feel really good about that. I have logging all intake as one of my points.

I can't believe that tomorrow is our weigh in. I wish good vibes to everyone.

I am extremely glad biggest loser is on tonight, I need something to boost my mood!!

    Howdy all,
    Welcome to all the newcomers.

Been at a bit of a standstill the last week or so.
It's gotten cold out I haven't gone out for my normal jogging/walking.
I've been doing Wii My Fitness coach for 2 weeks, it's a nice workout.

I feel inches going down and some more defination, but the lbs are not going down..(I'm not usually obsessive with the scale) but I hate seeing it going back up. lol.

Darn people at work keep bringing in donuts!! Grrrr. Must resist!!

Other than that... had a pretty good week. Minus being sick and not being able to get off the couch for a whole day. lol Hopefully making it to the gym tonight after some plans with some friends. Maybe Halloween costume shopping will motivate me further. lol Yay... zumba tomorrow!!

Chrissy, enjoy those 5ks!! That's gotta feel like such an accomplishment!! Good for you!!

Jules, stay strong!! Donuts are one of my many weaknesses!! Dont' even smell them!! Enjoy zumba tomorrow!!

Rach, kick butt, girl, kick butt!!

Peter, hang in there!! This time of year is always tough adjusting to the weather & changing up our exercise routines!! Keep your focus!!

I had a great step class this morning & felt like I had energy to spare!! Gotta love that!! Have a great day team, I can't wait to see the results of our weigh in!!

Sent my weight in as well.

Lucky me, I've caught a head cold. I stayed home from work today and been pretty lazy. I did muster up enough energy to do 20 mins of yoga but that's all I have in me for today. Will stay within my calories though. Watching some Biggest loser reruns for motivation :)

Keep up all the good work every one!!

I offered to give Rach the power back--but I am doing the chart today. Rach you will have to make sure I have not messed up the tabulation completely. I am very new to excel!!
