What am I doing wrong?

I am an 18 year old female, and in total i've lost about 30 pounds. I am now, however, stuck at 135. I want to lose about 15 more. I work out 5-6 times a week, mixing cardio and strength training, and eat about 1200 calories per day. I haven't lost weight in about three months and i'm extremely frustrated and just wanting to give up. Any insight into what is going on? ):

You could try cutting out sugar and wheat and/or dairy. Sugar is the biggest and its in a lot. If you really can't cut it out try making sure its only 10 in 100g. Also try a detox (from a naturopath not the quick chemist ones) as toxins are stored in fat.

I eat pretty clean as it is as far as sugars go.....also I have dairy intolerance so that's not really an issue for me. /:

if your working out 5-6 days a week and your only eating 1200 calories then that is prob the problem. 1200 calories is for days you dont workout. Days that you do you HAVE to eat those calories otherwise your metabolism will shut down and in turn you will not lose weight.

How many calories would be good for work-out days?

    try fat2fitradio.com

They have good calculators so you can see how many calories you burn and eat 200-500 calories less than that. (the calories they give in the results table if you put a goal weight are for that goal weight. To know your current numbers, put your current weight as your current weight and goal weight.

You are already pretty small, so you shouldn't have too large a deficit!

    eat back your exercise calories.

For example if your net caloric intake is set to 1200 calories then that is what you eat if you sit on your rump and play guild wars all day.

If you go out and burn 350 calories jogging 2 miles, then that day you would consume 1550 calories. Minus the 350 you burned, you still net 1200.
Your body will take the extra calories you consume to actually recover and repair from the exercise. It is doing silly things like tendon, ligament, and muscle repair. As a result you will have more energy and feel less like crap and your body know it can burn the fat, because there are extra calories coming in for repair.

Possibly. Nothing to freak over. Temporary in this context is 2 to 4 weeks. Temporary weight gain is 3 to 5 pounds.

Other things can cause that as well. For example, if you change up your exercise routine to add something new that stresses the body differently, you will retain water as your muscles adjusts.

Sugar won't affect weight loss unless you have a pre-existing condition..
