Do you like being sore? :)

I admit it, I do. Maybe I'm a little sick in the head *lol* but if I'm not sore after a work out and into the next day I don't feel I did a real good work-out. Just started Ripped in 30 yesterday and Holy Cow am I sore today!! Not sure I could touch my toes without bending my knees my Hammy's are that sore It's GREAT! I stopped being sore with the 30 day Shred about a week ago so I knew it was time for a change.
Anyone else out there like me??
I only get sore if I have had time off from training and then go back to it and then the soreness is only after the first couple of training sessions. If I have been training consistently and one day am suddenly sore, I hate it, because something is wrong and it worries me.0 -
I used to hate it, used to be my excuse to take 'time off' but now I LOVE IT! It means I worked hard enough and I am deserving of what I am after. If I'm not sore, I know I have to push it more next time!0
-
Yes. Not that I like being in pain, but when I wake up sore as hell and can't move, I know my work out the previous day accomplished something. I actually get disappointed when I have a decent work out and feel nothing the next day.
Being sore from sex is ok too.0 -
I LOVE being sore. It means that there is room for improvement and I'm improving!0
-
YES! Ive just posted it on my profile actually! LOL. I love the feeling of knowing those muscles are getting stronger and maybe, just maybe even growing a tiny bit.
Hard for me to do a rest day... Its addictive, I love JM too, 30 DS is a muscle killer as well.0 -
I just added bicep curls to my workout this week. Today I have a mildly sore feeling in my biceps and shoulders, THAT I like0
-
I love it too!
I'm constantly trying to change up my routines or increase my intensity, inclines, etc, in order to keep getting the sore feeling. I feel like I'm not making progress if I'm not at least a little sore after a workout!0 -
It depends....as long as the pain is not so debilitating that I cannot train or sleep then I don't mind.0
-
Being sore = a good workout but not being sore doesn't mean you didn't have a good workout. This can translate into light liftin days where you don't lift as heavy and hard.0
-
Yes especially my abs and my legs!0
-
i do too pain is weakness leaving the body!0
-
I do usually, but hate when my shoulders are sore..
Love sore legs though.
Same here. Sore legs feel great! Shoulders, tho...not so much.0 -
LOVE LOVE LOVE to be sore0
-
I like it, until it's so bad I can't sit down to pee! I have to kinda do the lean, and fall onto it...LOL
LOL, my thoughts exactly! It a love hate relationship! One that I am dealing with this morning! ;-)0 -
I hate when I'm not sore.0
-
Yes, even though it hurts to move, it is a feeling of accomplishment because whatever workout you were doing was challenging, but you got through it!
I went to visit my sister a couple of months ago and she was doing Jamie Eason's live fit program and so I went to work out with her. I wasn't used to heavy lifting so didn't know what to expect.. Goooood lord. I stayed down when she did legs, back, shoulders, biceps, abs, and triceps I think, a period of over 3 days.. First day was legs, so I would barely walk, then shoulders and abs, so the next day after that I couldn't undress.. You know, you go to pull your shirt off over your head and get stuck? haha, that was me. I was entertaining, that's for sure.0 -
I do as well. Makes me believe that I am doing something right.0
-
I like it, until it's so bad I can't sit down to pee! I have to kinda do the lean, and fall onto it...LOL
Ditto!0 -
Not exactly, but it also depends on how severe the soreness is and how long it lasts.0
-
I like it as long as I can walk down the stairs w/out wanting to cry and as long as I can blow dry my hair and starighten it without stopping every minute because my shoulders are on fire. Other than that I don't mind being sore at all.0
-
I have a slight love/hate relationship with it. I don't mind being a little sore because it means I am working my body well, but I don't like it when it feels almost debilitating0
-
I'm a glutton for punishment. For some reason, I LOVE being sore! Just makes me feel like I really challenged myself0
-
Absolutely....that's how I know I'm getting somewhere. As my husband says...no pain, no gain!! :happy:0
-
Within reason. I do love that post-workout glow, where you feel both battered and, yet, somehow better and more alive than when you started.0
-
Love it, sometimes I deliberately don't stretch so it'll hurt more.0
-
If I've done something new or increased my intensity I don't mind being a little sore, but I wouldn't want to be sore on the daily basis. I texercise to enhance my life, not make it miserable. I hate when my shoulders get too sore though because it always leads to a tension headache.0
-
Soreness has nothing to do with growth/muscle tissue or fat loss, so no I don't really care for being sore.0
-
It's an awesome feeling of accomplishment.0
-
same here.
ive been doing the active2 and my legs still fee as if they are on fire.0 -
Sometimes yes, and sometimes no. Depends...
I find that ab pain makes me feel like I have been in a car accident...haha It hurts to laugh, sneeze, sit, stand, bend, etc.
Shoulder/neck pain is also bad....
But legs/butt pain make me feel like I worked out good!0
