    When I lived in LA, I had not one, but two men give me their numbers at stoplights. I called both. One got a 10 minute phone conversation, followed by "I have to go now." The other was a fun couple of dates. So yeah, I've done it.

    In a pub, way back when, a guy just gave me his number on his way to a club although we hadn't even spoken! Flattering, but for me, half the thrill of getting to know someone is how gutsy they are, and a piece of paper or card doesn't pass muster.
