Activity level for stay at home mum?

I'm a stay at home mum of 3 boys ages 3, 1 and 8 months....they are pretty active and a lot of my day is doing housework, preparing meal and chasing after them. i'm also nursing my 8 month old 6+ times a day and pumping 10oz extra for donations to another baby. I've set my activity level at the second level (i think it said salesman etc.) but i'm wondering if this should be bumped up to the next level or dropped down to the lowest one?

What have the rest of you done?
TIA :)

I'm at sedentary. But if I do more the a half hr of cleaning or cooking I'll log it. Also about the nursing thing u could look that up and find a average amount of calories that burns and creat a exercise to log it in when U do it.

I run a daycare, so I know what you mean, but I put mine at the second as well. I tend to think it's safer to under estimate my daily work and thus make myself work harder than to over estimate it and get a false idea of how many calories I'm burning.

I have mine set at slightly active...Some days I do more than others, so i figure it all balances out.

For nursing I think you get an extra 500 calories a day, but I am not 100% sure on that number...

I would say your activity level is set at a good level, just add in the nursing...

And, wow, your kids are close in age! My last 3 are, youngest is now 12, I had them in 3.5 years apart....it was crazy but fun and they always have a buddy to play with.

    thank everyone :)

It's true...some days i run my butt off....and other days my butt is glued to the couch so i think keeping it at the level i'm at will even out :)

I've been wondering this myself. Im a SAHM to a 1 year old and a 2 year old. I'm usually on my feet (cleaning, making lunch or dinner, taking 2 yr old to potty, telling 1 year old to stop climbing on everything, etc.). I put sedentary though. Maybe i'll change it.
