Ouch, ouch.
Got pretty darn hot here in the Uk over the last few days, and didn't realise how quickly I would get burnt out in it.
Arms are livid red and really hot and sore.
Anyone else ?

Lived in Florida all my life so sometimes I get sunburned just walking around outside if I am not careful. Hope you peel and get better soon. :) Aloe or aftersun lotion works wonders, also lukewarm or cold showers.

Yeah, about to take a cool shower as it feels really unpleasant, lol.
Was only in it for a few hours too.

I got burned yesterday, but with a bit of aftersun lotion today I'm going golden brown. Although I was back out in it wearing factor 30 sunscreen. Loving the sun, but trying to avoid the tanlines as I'm getting married in 2 and a half weeks!

I really don't understand British people who don't use sun cream... Unless loads of people like premature ageing and skin cancer...

I was out in the sun doing a 10 mile walk today... I am not sunburnt because I used lots of sun cream.... Amazing!

Just an FYI---To help soothe the burn and prevent peeling, invest in an aloe vera gel (usually found in the sunscreen section.)

I live in Florida and often forget how strong the sun can be. I went for a 1 hour bike ride then spent an hour in the pool yesterday. Even with my already very dark shoulders, I got a bit burnt . Aloe and ibuprofen will help.

For some reason, i don't sunburn lol I'm half India Indian so I guess that helps...anyone else not burn?

My bf is all white and nerdy so he burns terribly after 10 mins out in the sun so I have to douse him in spf 50 before we go anywhere in the summer or he is miserable for days =(

I'm fair, so it doesn't take much for me to burn, either, even with sunscreen if I'm out too long! There are aloe vera "gel lotion" products that include an anesthetic which are WONDERFUL for burns. They do work better (as in any sunburn treatment) the sooner you use them. They help stop the continued damage, help heal the skin, and help with the pain. When I'm planning to be out, both sunscreen with SPF 30 and the aloe gel go with me!

    Hope you get some relief!

Went hiking with OH in Guisborough forest (NE England), thought I'd be fine in the shade but managed to burn my shoulders. Never mind, 660 calories burned too :o)

YES! I got a horrible burn while helping my sister get her stuff ready for a yard sale. It was windy out and never realized that I was even getting burnt. The next day, I sat in the shade all day and burnt again! Yep, double burn, it sucks. The crappy thing is I never ever lay out in the sun so I am, er was, white, now I am bright red.
