i need good dance music for running and need recomendations. not radio stuff, because i get so tired of it so fast, and the last thing i want is to be switching tunes in the middle of a run. i just want it to play through with a bpm of at least 150.
prodigy's new album, invaders must die is phenomenal, but i need something new, i've ran to this a few times now and need something fresh

    help!

I'm one of those people that can't get moving unless I have some really good beats to keep me going. I know I shouldn't rely on it so much, but on days where my MP3 player is dead, I can't get as much of a workout in as I could have if I had music with me....

I'm always looking for more songs to add to my list, what gets you really digging deep and going that extra minute/mile, etc!?

P.S. Sorry if this has been done already...I couldn't find anything like this a couple threads back and I couldn't find a search function to see if it had been done already....but for us new peeps, humour us and share? :)

    My Playlist:
Dirty Little Secret - All-American Rejects
    Crazy in Love - Beyoncé
Since U Been Gone - Kelly Clarkson
    Jumpin' Jumpin' - Destiny's Child
Get Your Freak On - Missy Elliott
    Lose Yourself - Eminem
    London Bridge - Fergie

    Temperature - Sean Paul
    Don't Cha - *****cat Dolls

    Sk8er Boy - Avril Lavigne

Love this playlist! Most of these songs get me pumped up gooood
A new favorite is Boom Boom Pow by Black Eyed Peas

Okay-- so I went down this list slowly--

Not one song do I know-- and the "artists" to use the term loosely, being the old lady I am, I only know because of the headlines they generate--

Wow-- where are the BeeGees when you need 'em?

    bump. Love the playlists.

I've been MEANING to set one up... like I've been MEANING to exercise. But since I got this stress fracture... all I can do is crawl into bed after work and pass out. These should really help me with the motivation factor!

As of yesterday when I added a few more, I have 263 songs on my playlist!! I don't think you really want me to list them all

I am, however, about to add a few more after being reminded of some that I don't have that you guys mentioned!

(and if you REALLY want me to list them all, I will - all somebody has to do is say so... although, you will all think I'm insane with the variety) :noway:

you don't have to list them all if it takes to much time, but lets hear some of them!!

I love using music to set the pace of my run. I love intervals so I switch between a fast song when I do my inclines & sprints, and an average tempo song when I'm jogging. I can’t run to anything but hip-hop or high energy pop. I don’t know what it is! Don’t Judge! Haha! I do love oldies, rock, country, alternative, punk, you name it…but when it comes to working out, this big booty needs some hip hop!! Some of my favorites include:

Show Me the Money- Petey Pablo (Step Up Soundtrack)
    * I love this song! Gets me pumped up to work out! Show off that body, you got! Work it!!

Til the Dawn- Drew Sidora (Step Up Soundtrack)
Jump- Flo Rida & Nelly Fertado
Get Up – Ciara & Chamillionaire (Step Up Soundtrack)
    Uh Oh! - Lumidee
    Lose My Breath- Destiny’s Child
    Headsprung- LL Cool J
Breath Stretch Shake – Mase & P Diddy?
    We Run This- Missy Elliott
    The Anthem- Pitbull
    Fuego- Pitbull
    Mercy- Duffy Feat. The Game
Cupid Shuffle (a pumped up version)
Work It/ Back in Black- Nelly Feat. Justin Timberlake
Give It To Me- Timbaland, Nelly Fertado, Justin Timberlake
    Release- Timbaland
    Numb/Encore- Jay Z & Linkin Park

I know there are more…but I can’t think of whats on my shuffle!!

We recently moved and couldn't find my DH's walkman.

Searched everywhere yesterday, and AhA I found it. A bunch of music I don't listen to, so I am making him delete all the songs so I can download them to it. So far, I have just a few of my music on there, Mariah Carey's EM=C2, I think that's what it is, just a few songs from that one, and one of Switchfoots albums. I'm getting the new Breaking Benjamin CD, Dear Agony, and downloading it.

Good thread, lots of new ideas for the walkman.
