Quest about the Fitbit...?

So does it track you calories AS you workout? Or is it like on MFP where you have to get on the computer and put it in yourself? I just don't know why I'd spend $100 for something I have to do manually just like on here you know? lol.

*QUESTION not "Quest" LOL woops. Sorry guys.

A Fitbit is not to track exercise calories. You can wear a HRM for that. The Fitbit tracks NEAT (non-exercise activity thermogenesis). It tracks your steps, stairs climbed, and basically gives you a gauge for your TDEE.

So what kind of HRM do you recommend?

I have the polar ft4 hrm and love it - I've been using it for four months. My next purchase (after the family vacation in June) will be a Fitbit or I think there is also a Bodybug that is similar for tracking "regular" calories.
