Looking for Dedicated and Supportive MFP Friends!

After tipping the scale at just over 300 lbs, I was determined to finally take control of my weight and health! I bought a Fitbit to help become more active; started walking for 30 minutes a day; and measured my food and counted calories on MFP. The combination helped me lose over 50 lbs in five months. I've come a long way... but still have a long way to go before I am where I want to be.
I'm afraid I've become too complacent these past few weeks. I've gone over my calories far too many times; eaten things I know I shouldn't; and basically stopped working out. I am not the least bit happy about this! In fact, I am seriously disappointed in myself. But I'm not going to give up over a few bumps in the road. As of today, I am renewing my commitment to a healthier lifestyle!
Therefore, I am looking for dedicated and supportive MFP friends! Any help, support or motivation would be greatly appreciated. And of course, I always try to return the favor! :-)

In exactly the same boat! I am 31 and had my fifth baby in January. I was eating right and exercising 3-5 hours per week. I was so happy for losing the first twenty lbs! I had a goal of 80 lbs total so I felt I was finally on my way. Then at the beginning of the month, my baby was hospitalized for a week and I ate complete junk food the whole time. I started my soda and asugary Starbucks habit again, and quit working out. Now my baby is home and our routines are back to normal but I just have lost a lot of hope and motivation since I weighed in and saw that I had put 7 lbs back on this month.
I have to get back on track! Would love to be held accountable by people who know what I am going through.0 -
I just sent you a friend request with a message.

What did you do to lose 17 pounds so fast? I was just reading people's stories and I saw your comment. I was just curious.0

I am new to this site was recommended by a friend at church that is using it successfully. I have had success in past with WW, but being a single mom to 3 children I can't afford WW anymore. I lost 57lbs in 2008 and reached goal weight. Since then got divorced went back to work full time as a RN. Being a emotional eater I gained about 35 of it back, but have managed to lose about 18lbs, but am totally stuck at getting the last 20 to 25lbs off! Very frustrated!! Have been very disappointed in myself at my lack of motivation at tracking what I eat or just not caring at times!! I for the most part am very faithful about getting my exercise in 4-5 times a week. I do not like being at a stand still so I would be glad to help you out if you could reciprocate the same.
You are doing great! Good luck and let me know if I can do anything to help!

I would love a motivational MFP buddy. I have a few real life motivators, but they don't come home with me and help through that ever so dreaded night time where the fridge is only a few steps away! I am new to MFP, but not totally to the health scene. I am learning a lot as I go and am down 30 lbs so far and starting on my last 30lbs. If anyone is really familiar with the whole "eat more to lose" scenario (having to build calories up first to create a normal metabolism before losing lbs) that would be particularly helpful on my part and I would be happy to share my experiences/recipes and exercise advice in return! Eat Pray Love fit-friends!0
