Lowest calorie drinks to order at the bar?

Hey everyone, I turned 21 on Thursday and I have just started getting back into the weight loss swing of things. Although I still want to go out and enjoy being legal with my friends, I don't want to work hard and eat right just to destroy my good day with a few drinks once or twice a week.
So the real question here is, does anyone know any low cal drinks I can sip on when I go out?
I know the proper response is 'don't drink', but I like to go out and have fun every once and awhile too!

Vodka and soda water with a twist of lime or whiskey and diet coke are my go-to, low cal drinks. Under 100 calories each.
I also drink Corona Light pretty often when sipping beer (about 110 calories a bottle).0 -

Ohh thankyou! I know to stay away from sugary drinks like margaritas or daiquiris, which is a shame because they are so yummy. I like vodka, so I'll try it with soda water!0 -
Try flavored Stolis on the rocks or with soda water.
I also like sipping on a glass or two of wine when I'm craving something sweeter.
Above all, stay away from sour mix.0 -
Most whiskey is around 69 calories. Mixed with diet soda, water, or soda water will keep the calories down to that.0

The lowest calorie beers I'm aware of are Bud 55, which is 55 calories per bottle, and MGD 64, which is 64 calories per bottle. Drawbacks are lower alcohol content, carbs, and you lose flavor (I joke that they are kind of like drinking water. But, they really aren't a bad option when you want a drink but dont want to burn too many calories on it.) Most light beers are 100-120 calories. Better beers can be 150+ calories.0

I don't know if you can order this at a bar, but my go-to drink for parties is vodka (or rum) with Crystal Light. You seriously can't taste the alcohol AT ALL (so be careful). It's delicious and low calorie.0

I drink pink lemonade and vodka at the beach, and I usually go for hard cider at the bar (not very low cal though)0

Tequila, whiskey, straight up or or Vodka mixed with diet soda.0

I do this too! Or with flavored water like propel. If I need a little something better, I mix with diet 7 up (but that's at home since most bars don't carry it)0 -
Cape cods are my fave...about a 100 or so calories and delicious! Enjoi and congrats!0

Bacardi silver is lso very low calorie as is straight scotch... if you can handle it. Thats how i roll now and I manage to lose weight still. Also, remember that wine is actualy very good for you IN MODERATION. Tons of antioxidants and its delicious!0

This! Although the Corona Lights I had yesterday were only 99 calories!0 -
Scotch on the rocks! Like a champ!0

The bottled Skinny Girl Margarita is awesome! It's agave tequila and super tasty. As for the bar I get rum and diet coke, or gin & soda. Red wine is great too if you're out for dinner.0

Whiskey on the rocks, whiskey and diet cola or diet ginger, gin and diet tonic. I think most hard alcohol has about 70 cals to the ounce - but be aware that a shot is generally an ounce and a half.0

Also, Michelob Ultra is not so bad - 96 calories for a 12 oz bottle.0

Very helpful tips everyone, thank you and keep them coming!0

My drink of choice is Coors Light (102 calories/12 oz.).
Mixer caution: soda water has 0 calories, but tonic water (as in "gin and tonic") has about 80 calories/8 oz! But, Schweppes and others *do* make zero-calorie diet tonic water, but almost no bars will have it.
Mixer caution #2: avoid drinks with cranberry juice -- it has 120 calories/8 oz (in contrast, Coca Cola has only 100 calories/8 oz. and less sugar than regular cranberry juice).
Mixer caution #3: avoid orange juice (110 calories/8 oz.).0 -
shots, but since its your birthday i recomend at least 1 irish car bomb:drinker:also a flaming dr pepper:drinker: :drinker: :drinker: :drinker:0

OMG that's so smart!0 -
if you just put little crystal light packets in your purse you can add them yourself to your drink so if you get vodka and water just add your packet and your set0

All genuine tequila is agave tequila. That's where it comes from - tequila is distilled, fermented agave juice. Saying "agave tequila" is like saying "cow beef." The difference between that stuff and any other margarita is going to be found in the sour mix, and I imagine the basic difference is zero-calorie sweetener instead of sugar.
I'm just posting to point that out as well as bookmark this thread for later; my 21st is coming up soon as well, haha.0 -

Putting the Crystal Lights in your purse.... THIS IS A GREAT IDEA!!!! :flowerforyou:
I've been drink a new mixer this weekend that I got off of Miranda Lambert's article in SELF magazine. Bacardi Limon ~ Sprite Zero ~ Crystal Light Raspberry Lemonade..... My husband even likes these tasty "Randa~Rita's"!! Roughly 40 calories for a small drink -with 1/2 a shot. If you have a full shot in the drink it would be round 80 calories per beverage. :drinker:0 -
Bump, this is useful0

I haven't read ALL replies but Vodka, Whiskey,Rum etc IS NOT low cal. 60-80 cal for 1 oz. Probably not terrible if you have one and depending on what you mix it with but the higher the proof, the more calories. Best bet is light beer or wine, although I will agree it's not as exciting!0

the drinks are 8 ozs, yes, but you're probably only getting a 1 oz shot of alcohol in them, if not less considering how cheap most bars are.
drinking is probably the biggest hinderance to my weightloss. i live in orlando and go out to see my friends playing shows all the time, so i'm out drinking 3 or 4 times a week. i SWEAR by vodka soda lime. you can even tell them to give you lots of limes and it'll just taste like soda water and limes. as far as beer goes, there's SO many extra calories in that, and by the time you start feeling the effects of light beers you've already consumed more than you would've if it was a regular beer so that cancels out. there is the new budlight platinum though that has less cals and a higher alcohol content
steer clear of flavored vodkas, that has nothing but sugar!0
