I have been on my weight loss journey for 7 months now and decided to put my dog on a diet also. I would like help finding out his BMR and TDEE. Do I follow the same process as I did to find mine? Also, where can I find nutritional facts on dog food. I would like to start keeping track of his calories here on MFP. I also have a HRM with a chest strap. I tried it on my dog, the chest strap fits perfectly. Do you think I should have him eat back his calories? Do dogs go into starvation mode as well? I know alot of you guys on here really know your stuff so any help with this would be greatly appreciated. His stats are below....
Breed : Chihuahua
Weight: 15lbs
Length: 12 inches
Age : 1 year 2 months
Activity Level: 1 15 min walk per day

Are you being serious? For crying out loud. Go to the Vet. You cannot use a human diet site and calculations on an animal. They have specific needs that are for them.0
