have had it for 6 weeks now and set at 500 cal defecit a day for 1 lb loss a week x not losing. Surely should be most accurate way. I'm 123lb and want to lose another 3-4 lb. Cannot lose!
Anyone had same prob? I'm
Counting cals accurately and I've re checked this as I thought this might be reason. Just had a convo with someone else about this but was interested to hear others views....Anyone help with this?

You may not lose weight at first. Everyone's different. Make sure your sodium isn't too high and you're drinking enough water.
How many cals are you eating?0 -
Well depending on how many cals I burn it's usually 1500 with a burn of 2000. With exercise I usually only burn about 300 extra as I do more weights for toning that cardio.0

Hmm. That sounds about right. I'd give it a few more weeks and if you still aren't losing either up the cardio or cut down calories by 100-150. Good luck! You're already a pretty good weight (unless you're super short) so it might take longer to lose.0

I have the UK version called a Ki Fit and its taken a while for my weight loss to kick in. I think it's because although my lifestyle feels drastically different to me because I can see the numbers and I'm concentrating so much on the daily burn, I'm really not burning much more than I was before, I can just see the statistics now. Give it time, I'm on a higher deficit than you are and I've just stared losing after 4 weeks (I also have more to lose).
Just keep going. I know it's frustrating, especially being so close to your goal, but keeping it up because looking after your body in the healthiest way possible will only ever be a good thing, whether it reflects on the scales or not.0 -
But surely a 500 cal defecit is a lb loss regardless each week. If I change it to half pound I will be more unlikely to lose. I don't get it. Whether you are exercising or not you should lose... No?0

Thats exactly how I thought about it too, and although I also couldn't understand (I can't argue with science), there may be other factors involved. Now I'm no expert at all, so I can only tell you what I think was happening with me but I hope it helps. Stress from the pressure I was puting on myself to lose from the moment I decided to make the change didn't help, and that, along with hormones and not drinking enough water seemed to be the root of my problems. Now I've started to relax and tell myself that my body will do what it's supposed to do, all I have to do is keep going and do it properly and it's slowly working. It's just a shame I've always been an impatient person!0 -
Just annoying cause pressure shouldn't matter, it's what you take in vs what you burn as basic rule. In know there might be other factors such as salt, water retention etc. Just don't get why we don't lose a pound a week. Drinking water, exercise, increase protein, vary exercise, defecit of 500, what else is there to do? Drives me insane!!0
