Running with iPhone

Before I spend money I don't have I'm just curious if any women with relatively small arms run using an armband for their iPhone? Every time I look at the bands they just look too bulky and heavy and I can imagine it sliding down to my elbow constantly , do they stay up ok? I'm sick of holding it and it getting sweaty and dropped on the footpath (sidewalk)

I was just wondering this! Right now I stick mine in my sports bra! LOL Probably not smart since it gets sweaty!0 -
I do not have relatively small arms LOL...but my armband doesn't move at all. It is kind of hot though, but well worth it to me. As long as you can make it tight enough on your arm, it won't budge. I have this one: http://www.amazon.com/New-Balance-Armband-iPhone-Compatible/dp/B003MZSGYM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1338300642&sr=8-10

Armpocket and PDO have different sizes, I believe. You'll need to measure your arm to determine if any of them would be right for you.
You might also look into trying a belt instead--I saw one on REI recently.0 -
I tried it once and it just kept slipping unless I made it too tight. It also just bothers me having it on my arm while running.0

I have an armband for my IPOD touch thats by Belkin.. and I don't find that it slides around or that it's too tight.
I use it for running on the treadmill and lifting weights... it's perfect.0 -
I've used one, got it at walmart and it does not move around, but as others have mentioned, it is hot. I might consider getting one of the belts as well!0

Invest in a spibelt, it will also hold your keys and won't bounce around!0

I have tiny arms! I found this at Target last year, on sale. It's made for the iPhone 3S but I can fit my iP4 in it with no issues. It doesn't slip at all and I run with it all the time.

I ordered this one from Armpocket

I have a friend that has one and she loves hers...she is petite and it doesn't look big or bulky on her0 -
For those of you with a SPIbelt, do your headphone cords get in the way? I like clipping mine up when I wear my phone on my arm but if you wear it at your waist you can't really do that.0

Im not "tiny" but I don't have fat arms at all... I use a Belkin and it doesn't slip around. BUT it seems like their are runners who can handle "things" on them and runners who cant. I fuss with it too much, but I don't want it in my bra and I want to have my music MORE so I deal with it.
Just make sure you wash it! :noway:0 -
This bra fits an iPhone 4 (even with a case) and it stays dry.

This is hysterical because I *JUST* tweeted this as well as posted a question to my friendsbase. Wanted to see what they said before I posted. Cool!
My armbands don't hold the weight of my phone - and my arms are rather slim now - so getting it tight enough does happen, but it tends to sag down and slide.
I have been sticking it in my bra, but that has become the biggest annoyance.0 -
great thread! i have a spi belt but like having access to my music so want it on my arm.0

I don't have small arms, but I don't like having anything on my arms either. I use something similar to a spibelt.
For those of you putting your phone in your bra. DON'T DO IT if you're a sweater. I killed my screen on my iPhone 3GS with a short run and minimal sweat. Just a word of caution!0 -
I am not a woman, so I guess I don't exactly fit your criteria. However...
The H2O Audio armbands work really well. The latest one is great for swimming and running (the first generation which was mostly neoprene based was not good for running). I also have their waterproof earbuds as well.
I have been using this 2nd gen model since about September 2011 and love it. I swim with it (1-2 hours at a time), use it in the gym during circuit training and run with it on the trails at the park as well.

I have pretty small arms and I use an iphone armband. I got mine at TJMaxx for about $10. It's made all the difference in the world to me.0
