Looking for Exercises at the Office

I work in a hospital in the administration offices and I am looking for exercises I can do at work that won't take me away from my work for long periods of time. On a post I had about snacks at work, someone had said that they drink a lot of water so they use the bathroom a lot. Each time they go to the bathroom, they do 100 jumping jacks. I think that's a great idea and I tried it this morning. However, it's not practical for me until after my breast reduction. Kind of dangerous and painful if you catch my drift. :) Can anyone suggest some other exercises to get the blood moving at work?

When I go to the bathroom, I get in a squat position and do 100 punches, alternating between left and right. It gets my heart rate up and is great for the arms, legs, and butt if you stay in a squat position. Good Luck!!

Squats are great for potty breaks. Because you're moving such big muscles .... somewhat aerobic too. Stairs are aerobic & low impact.

These are desk exercises ... not sure if they apply

I keep a resistance band in my desk ... the flat ones w/o handles. These are great for all kinds of exercises. Use your chair for tricep dips. Sit on the edge of your chair & point your toes on the floor, bring your knees to your chest ... great for lower abs. Use a desk for push ups.

Potty squats! Everytime you go to the restroom, do some squats. I started at 10 but now do 25 each time.

Ever heard of low-impact jumping jacks? You raise your hands the same as a regular jack but tap your leg to the side, alternating legs, instead of jumping. You can alternate this with some squats. See this video for a demonstration of the squats and low-impact jacks: http://www.livestrong.com/video/4160-cardio-power-moves-squats-with/

Thanks! I've never heard about those before. :)

Great suggestions. I work at a college so I love taking s brisk walk around the campus. It allows me fresh air and sunshine while getting my heart rate up. Low key but good for body and mind. A coworker also traded her desk chair for an exercise ball, she says it keeps her core tight all day and on breaks she can use it for other excercise moves.
