Basically they recommend both types of exercise, and "There is good evidence that RT reduces total body fat mass in men and women, independent of dietary caloric restriction. There is also good evidence that RT reduces visceral adipose tissue in older men and women."

    That's cool. Weight training can be more fun than cardio, too.
