I work in a bakery... :(

  • I work at a bakery also. I LOVE cakes, icing, etc. But oddly enough, when I'm at work there (only work there one day a week, for fun) I'm not as tempted. As long as I don't taste even one bite, then I'm good. I always take a granola/fiber bar with me, along with a pc of fruit. And I make sure I have a bottle of water. I also keep a diet soda there. That way if I really want something sweet, I drink the soda and that usually takes my thoughts off the other sweets. Good luck to you, I know its not easy.
  • Eeek, a laxative effect is not the one I'm looking for! :noway:

It is possible to resist, it will just take a while to get used to it. Eventually it will get a bit easier. I understand your pain, I used to work at Texas Roadhouse.

 You have to chew a LOT. Like a pack a day.

 Tell yourself that you are allergic to sweets, you will swell up if you eat them.
