To be honest, I haven't been game to weigh or even properly measure myself - long story, but I just don't want to know the numbers.

But! A couple of months ago, I went jeans shopping. So I found the style I wanted, but not the colour, so I had to wait until they could get the ones I wanted back in stock.

Anyway, got a call from the store on Friday to see if I still wanted them (because after all that, I had totally forgotten about them), so I went in again on Saturday to buy them...only to have to go hunting around to the store again, because they were nearly 2 sizes too big for me :) I ended up buying them a size down from the original, and they're loose, but the next size down were still a bit too snug to be comfortable.

I think I'm going to have to go shopping again really soon. Just as well it's mid year sale season, yes?

I haven't gone shopping yet in my weight loss. I'm on a tight budget and don't want to buy something and it only fit for a month, so I'm waiting. I'm perfectly fine wearing baggy sweats around the house. I did buy a pair of gym shorts though. No one needs to see my pants fall off while I'm on the treadmill. All of my clothes are HUGE on me. Especially my pants. I would like to know what size I am now though. I started at an 18. The shorts I bought were a large and they are loose.

I wouldn't have gone shopping at all, except that I realised that I didn't have any jeans left that looked even vaguely decent. It turned out to do great things for my motivation level, so I think it might just be money well spent :)

I threw out my jeans a while ago. I'm not a big jean person anyway so it doesn't really bother me. I only had 2 pair to begin with.

That is great news! Awesome dedication girl, you've got this down now. Go ahead and measure yourself at least once and write it down because one day, when you are healthier, thinner and happier, you will want to know just how much you've lost to remind yourself just how big you were and that you are NOT going back there!
I've lost just 36lbs but I've lost over 33 inches and 9 of them were on the fattest part of my stomach alone! Also, I measure if I havent seen the scale move and I'm feeling down. Almost always, something will measure smaller, even if it's 1/4 inch. It keeps me going, one day at a time to a healthier me!

Again, congrats and keep up the good work! You can do this! You already are! :)

Do you have a 2nd hand store near you? I'm in the same situation you are. My clothes are super baggy but I'm planning on losing another 20-25lbs and dont want to spend money on something I wont be able to wear in a few months. The worst are my shorts and I'm down to just one pair of jean shorts and if I wear them it's with a belt, all bunched up and it's not too comfy. I think I'll check out the Goodwill store here. I donate there a lot so I might as well go in shopping too. :)
