Has anyone read Alicia Silverstone's book The Kind Diet? Normally I would never buy a nutrition book by a celebrity, but i really respect her diet approach. I really want to go vegan someday so this book seemed like the right approach for me. Any input? I also ordered The Eco Chicks Guide to Live: How To Be Fabulously Green.

Hi!
I haven't read Alicia Silverstone's book, so I cannot comment on it. However, I, too, have been trying to incorporate more vegetarian and holistic nutrition into my lifestyle. I will recommend "The Great American Detox Diet" by Alexandra Jamieson. This book, according the Ms. Jamieson's Web site (http://www.nutritionforempoweredwomen.com/), is: "Loaded with practical information on the way we eat today and nearly 100 easy, delicious recipes, The Great American Detox Diet is really an anti-diet book. Alex Jamieson shows us how to clean up our eating habits by replacing packaged foods with whole, fresh, healthful foods that strengthen bodily systems, restore vitality and boost immunity to protect us from illness and disease."
Some may recognize Jamieson's name as she was featured in Morgan Spurlock's documentary "Super Size Me." She is set to release a new book called "Living Vegan for Dummies" in the near future.

I really want to read the Kind Diet! I read Gorgeously Green diet book and it was sooo good! I get really excited when people start making good choices about the kinds of foods they put in their bodies and what the environmental impacts are. The eco-chick book is really good too, I have read that too. Green Living by renee loux was better though (actually I am not sure on that title but sure of the author.) I also liked skinny *****. I would like to be a vegan someday but I love cheese . Anyway I recommend the gorgeously green diet as well, it has tons of awesome tips about gardening, composting, cookware, and other tips, etc. I want to green Gorgeously green too. There are just so many good books out there!0
