"Don't Take the Girl" - Tim McGraw

This song would make me cry if my daddy hadn't made a rendition of it in honor of our dog--- "Don't take the Squirrels"

"Why"- Nichole Nordeman is a big one for me.

Sipped Away~Avril Lavigne....played it for my Nana's funeral...:( I cry just thinking about this song. EVERY SINGLE TIME

Na na, na na na, na na
I miss you, miss you so bad
I don't forget you, oh it's so sad
I hope you can hear me
    I remember it clearly

    The day you slipped away
Was the day I found it won't be the same
    Oh

Na na na na na na na

I didn't get around to kiss you
    Goodbye on the hand
I wish that I could see you again
    I know that I can't

    Oh
I hope you can hear me cause I remember it clearly

    The day you slipped away
Was the day I found it won't be the same
    Oh

    I had my wake up
    Won't you wake up
    I keep asking why
    And I can't take it
    It wasn't fake
    It happened, you passed by

Now you are gone, now you are gone
There you go, there you go
Somewhere I can't bring you back
Now you are gone, now you are gone
There you go, there you go,
    Somewhere you're not coming back

    The day you slipped away
Was the day I found it won't be the same no..
    The day you slipped away
Was the day that I found it won't be the same oh...

Na na, na na na, na na
    I miss you

Taps~I played this at my Nana's funeral...she always said she wanted me, my (ex) boyfriend and his sister to play this if she ever passed away. We had always played it for civic functions. On trumpets. We would get on 3 different corners of the square in town, and play it staggered so that it sounded like echoing Taps. So, when the time came, I played it and it was like an overwhelming sense of calm came over me.

    The Dance~Garth Brooks....played at my Momma's funeral
Amazing Grace(My Chains Are Gone)~Chris Tomin...played at my PawPaw's funeral....man, this one gets to me too

If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away~Justin Moore

    If I Don't Make It Back~Tracy Lawrence

This Ain't Nothin'~Craig Morgan...watching the video reminds me of my Nana and PawPaw :(

He Stopped Loving Her Today~George Jones...Nana and PawPaw's song to each other :(

Farewell Party~Gene Watson...Nana's song to PawPaw...she always said he should play that for her funeral...he didn't though

I was raised from the time I was 6 mo old by my Nana and PawPaw. I miss them every.single.day.

What Sarah Said by Death Cab for Cutie.
At their show last year, I was not expecting them to play it...when it started, I just started losing it. I was sobbing throughout the song.

Mine are Luther Vandross "Dance with my father". He is still alive and well just the words of the song are so touching.
and Mercy Me "I can only Image". The first time I heard the song was when my neice asked if we could play it at my little brother's funeral after he was killed in Iraq. We call it "Kevin's song"

    Everybody hurts.....REM

Talk about flash back to H.S. and getting my heart broke for the first time. I think I played this song while crying myself to sleep at least a dozen times!
