Hey everyone! Welcome to week 4!!! So, I weighed myself today, and I maintained, so I'm happy with that.....Hopefully some of you have lost some weight!! Anyhow, do not worry, this week will definitely be challenging, in order to get us all back on track (for those of us who have been off the wagon lol).....Happy Monday everyone!

  • Morning everyone! I also just maintained last week. I am aiming for two pounds this week...which means I'm going to have to work really hard! I can totally do it. I don't know if we're still doing challenges, but this week my plan is to do Shred every day for 7 days in addition to walking my dog for at least 45 minutes. Oh, also that water thing...I know I still have to remind myself to get in my 8 cups...so that is a sub-goal I guess:smile: So that's me....any other thoughts and ideas! Have a great week all!!

this weekend was not so good for me....i was sick and still am so i won't be working out that much, just until i am a little bit better. i did manage to lose 3 of the 5 pounds i have gain during my cycle...so i don't know if that is good or bad. from 219 - 3 = 216 pounds...

this is a new week - new begining....GOOD LUCK ALLL...
Chat later, i have classes today and have to get dressed.

Yes! I am definitely doing a challenge this week, and it works good with your goals greatdanewalker.....it is an exercise challenge! Everyday, log in the total time of exercise that you did. Any exercise you do counts, aslong as it is individually atleast 10 minutes long. So for an example: if you were to walk 10 minutes, then later on bike 10 minutes and then in the evening do some weight lifting for 10 minutes, then your daily total would be 30 minutes for the day! So good luck to all!!! and look forward to starting a better week and losing somewhere around 2 lbs myself!!!!

    hello everyone:

Today (Monday) i managed to do one hour of walking on the treadmill, even though i didn't feel so good. i walked slower (3.2) then i normally do (4.5), plus walking up to the campas and then back to the parking lot...about 20 minutes. i felt i had to do a lot of walking because i didn't exercise much and i cheated a little on my diet...i ate 3 philly soft pretzels on Sunday...that is a no - no because 1/2 pretzel is about 200 calories but no fat...a lot of sodium...and i feel swallen today...

    Good Luck all

    tired and off to bed...

    Hello,

I had a good day today. This time I passed up the snicker and potato chips that stare at you in the grocery line. We will have a good week this week.

I did the WATP 4 mile 50 minutes.
  • Sounds like everyone is having a good start to the week....making the choice to exercise is really easy the day before and then....slightly more challenging when it's "time". I did Shred yesterday and today as well as walking my dog for around 45 minutes. So so far, so good in our challenge. I'm really really keen to loose some this week...I can't believe it's week 4 already... if I'd made more effort in the previous weeks I should have lost a minimum of 4 pounds already.... !!! Keep exercising everyone:smile:

Well just worked all day Mon ans Tues. on my feet, Today I brought the kids to Wells beach for lunch a little chilly but nice fresh air I got in about a 25 min. walk. Waters going down good this week But my lunch today was upsetting which led me to eat terribly after I went to McDonalds and got the southwestern salad (GROSS) with grilled chicken (FAKE) so I didnt finish it and ended up eating my daughters half a burger and the rest of my sons french fries UHHGGG. Why ? Why do I do stupid things like that? I wasnt even satisfied after I ate it!!! I dont know what kind of mind set Im suppose to have myself at :grumble:

    Falha,
It's walk away the pounds by leslie sansone. She makes in home walking/jogging dvds.

I did 23 minutes on the treadmill. Will do 25 more later unless I get lazy.

CK, we all eat things we shouldn't- I had a snickers yesterday. A fake burger tastes way better than fake chicken and is probably just as healthy. Don't let it get you down.

I ended up doing 48 minutes of exercise today. I also fit in a pair of jeans my smaller sister gave me after I had eaten!! So despite not losing weight I am getting smaller. Size 8 here I come:bigsmile:
  • Wow that's exciting ivykivy!! Ya to smaller jeans :-) I did the shred video yesterday and walked my dog for only about 1/2 hour. Still not too bad for someone who never wants to exercise! My only vice now seems to be wine splurges in the evening as well as high calorie dinners. Maybe I'll start eating more during the day and won't have so many evening calories to go crazy with at night?? How everyone has a great day!

I did Tae-robics at the gym on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday for 45 minutes. I walked for 50 minutes at a Nature Preserve today and did about 15 minutes of a Dance off the Inches DVD.

I ate lunch at a restaurant today. I had a salad and soup combo, but it is so hard to calculate the calories if the nutritional information isn't available. I always worry that I will underestimate.

I love soups during the cool weather, it seems to really satisfy me and salads are great too, but it is hard to calculate calories when you go out to eat, perhaps maybe you can ask if the restuarants if they have a nutritional info packet to look at? As always soup is usually high in sodium if thats something you need to look at ( I DO ) I easily retain fluid.

Im going to start making my own soup at home that way there I know whats getting put into it and I can control it. I have have seen a lot of good recipes on this site and ww has a lot of good ones also :)

So, didnt exercise wednesday or thursday, but I am planning a good workout tonight, so I'll come back to post about it. Didnt do so well with the eating, but its slowly improving...
  • Hi everyone! I'm feeling a wee bit frustrated! I thought the reason I've only lost 1 pound after being on here now for almost 3 weeks is that I wasn't exercising enough. Well I just exercised hard I mean sweat dripping for the last 7 days and ate for the most part within my calories (maybe 50 over on a couple of days, under on others) and..... no change???? What is going on??

greatdanewalker, I don't lose weight very often. In fact I fluctate a lot. But I do drop a 1/2 to 1 dress size every 30-60 days. So look at how your clothing fits also.

I did pretty good this weekend considering I was on vacation. I exercised 20minutes Sat (walk/jog on the beach). I came home today and did taebo 18 minutes. I did learn it is easier to jog outside than it is on the treadmill b/c you can set your own pace.

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Hi Falha, I hope you and your family get well soon , being sick for a time can be sooo draining on everyone and thing , if you have no energy and your sick you should rest i wouldnt force yourself to workout to hard, take care :flowerforyou:

Are we starting a new week ?

I weighed in yesterday , down 1lb

I hope everyone is doing well and dont forget to get those waters in, were at that time of year where the heat is on and we tend not to hydrate properly:drinker: :drinker: theres a couple for anyone who would like one:smile:

Hope you are feeling better today, falha  I learned the hard way not to get on the treadmill when you don't feel well. Marla64 has the video:laugh:

CK, congrats on the pounds lost:drinker:

I discovered that if I take the incline on the treadmill down to 3 I can run faster. DUH :embarassed: It just dawned on me today. Don't I feel stupid.

    Have a good evening
  • I'm still here too! I kind of gave up this week after my disappointing 4 weeks with only a pound lost. Congrats to you CK on your loss! I've not been feeling the best this week either. I think it's the time of year, and all the sick little munchkins that come to school coughing and sneezing. As a result I usually have a stellar immune system, but a little something has made it's way through. I'm going to look at wedding venues this weekend with my mom and fiance... maybe that will re motivate me. Have a great week all.
ps. maybe We should start a new thread on our own if mxburke is out? I think I may :-) Look for the post tonight! xx

Greatdanewalker, Hope you don't get sick.
Falha, hope you are feeling better today.

I am starving but I'm gonna try not to eat anything more I'm already over. I think I'm gonna have to break down and get an HRM so I can know how many calories I'm burning. I did lose and inch in my waist and an inch on my hips so that's good. But I gained an 1/2 inch in my chest:noway:. I'm just gonna have to realize I'll be and F cup forever.

    Have a great day tomorrow.
