Five meals a day???

Since I've gotten serious about working out hard daily, I've found myself hungry a lot more throughout the day. People I've talked to have mentioned eating 5 smaller meals a day. Any tips on what I can eat with enough substance to hold me over but still keep a lower calorie count.
I mean my net calories that are set on MFP are 1575 a day so before exercise we are talking around 315 calories per meal. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can maintain a "satisfied" feeling (as it relates to hunger) with 5 small meals as well as keep the calorie count low?

Feel free to add me as a friend, I have just started doing the same thing and I feel I have been doing well with it. My diary only reflects it for the past couple of days but I've been doing it for a few weeks. I just make sure to eat filling things like whole grain bread or eggs (high in protein) for my meals.0

Ive noticed that drinking a glass of water before eating and during eating helps now that i make sure to drink 100oz of water or more a day and if i just have to i use a special k cereal bar only ninety cal.
but i buy the weight watchers, and lean cuisine pre portioned meals from walmart for like 2.50 a meal they are normally between 200 and 300 cal each the have deserts and everything normally i skip breakfast with a meal replacement shake from slimfast but once i get the money im going to order the shakeology shakes from beachbody im in my third week of les mills pump and i love it i lost three inches my first week as soon as im done its pff to p90x the the new beast body builder program thats coming out wish me luck lol0 -

you need to have a mix of protein and fiber. Fiber makes you feel full now. Protein keeps the hunger feelings away an hour or two down the road. Make sure to eat at least 150 calories as less than that, you'll just feel hungry again in half an hour.
Mix some fresh veggies with cheese, nuts, etc or some meat. I'll eat 2-3 ounces of grilled chicken and some carrots and celery. Or a couple mini Bonbel cheeses with a small salad. Peanut butter on celery is AWESOME. And as somebody else said, drink water before, during and after you eat.0 -
Thanks. I'll look into the lean cuisine meals. I've also already started drinking more water and it's helped slightly. But right now I'm up to 4 meals a day -- lunch, mid day snack, dinner, evening snack...but I never go to bed directly after the evening snack. It's more to replenish me after doing my insanity work out.0
