Hey all, I am looking to get some dvds to work out to on my off days at the gym. I am not sure if I want to get Turbo Jam or Zumba. If you could give me some advice on this I would love it. I am looking for a good work out to burn calories, but I would also like some sculpting options maybe too.:flowerforyou:

I've never done turbo jam, but I love zumba and it works your entire body. I did yoga yesterday and was sore so when I did zumba this morning (at the gym) I could tell what parts of my body I was working and I felt my movements everywhere.

I've never tried Turbo Jam either, but I take Zumba classes at Golds. I love them!

I am absolutely in love with TurboJam! Easiest explanation: its like cardio kick-boxing! I have however not tried Zumba yet (I would really like to!) but I think that as far as DVDs to workout with at home when your alone..I would do TurboJam. I would rather do a dance class with other people say at the gym! Plus, Chalene has soooo many DVDs to choose from! She offers sculpting workouts too (like TurboSculpt) and is so motivating:happy: It definitely tones you up with all the punches and kicks-trust me! Hope that helps, if you have questions just ask

thanks soo much for all your comments:happy: I wish that my gym had a zumba class. i do the step class at the gym, and I love the group atmosphere. Still a toss up on which dvds to get for home.... I may have to just get both zumba and Turbo Jam lol:laugh:

I was going to say, if you can, go ahead and get both. It will offer a variety.

    Ditto! Ditto! Ditto!
  • Hi there! I am in love with both!! I have loved Turbo Jam for over a year now and just recently started Zumba. Personally, I love Zumba more because it tones you from head to tone no matter what you do (cardio, sculpt, 20 minute workout, etc) and it really burns the calories. I often offset TJ with Zumba such as every other day or if I do TurboSulpt in the day then I do a 20 minute Zumba after dinner or Zumba sculpt in the a.m. then TJ 20 minute at night etc. I don't often do both workouts each day but just doing 1 day of Zumba, I really felt it afterwards and in a good way where TJ for me it took longer to feel the burn. But I truly love both and I love that I can do it in the comfort of my own home at my convenience (I also work from home so it makes it more convenient for me that way) But I do miss the socializing of a class. Whatever you pick, I'm sure you will enjoy and not be disappointed!! Just make sure you get the toning sticks...what a workout!!!
