I'm coming to MFP from WW -- mainly because MFP is free. I've lost around 25-30 pounds and have 45-50 to go. Since February, I've been stuck between 203-208. I'll track and track and get down to 203 and then bounce back up to 208 almost instantly. I'm getting really sick of it. I get down to 203 and get so excited about FINALLY breaking to 200 pound barrier... and then gain.
Every.
Single.
Time.
Like I said, it's been happening since February.
It's frustrating to be so close to such a huge milestone, and never actually reach it.

The P90X program has something called "Muscle Confusion". Every little while, it switches up your workout dramatically. Your body gets used to the same routine and after a while it isn't as effective. So maybe all you need is an equal, but very different, routine.
In fact, why not try P90X? I haven't, but it's supposedly extremely effective in only 90 days. I've seen it priced between 139$ and 200$. There's also another thing similar called "Insanity", and I think it's cheaper.0 -
Hi!
I saw a possible solution on another thread here. Worth a try perhaps?

make sure your switching it up and pushing yourself hard when you work out! I got stuck like that a few times and did a switch in my routine and BAM it started working! Just keep pushing and know you can and will do this!!0

Are you exercising? check out www.fat2fitradio.com If you have been eating too few cals, this slows down your metabolism and eventually slows weight loss, as well. I JUST broke the 200 mark and had a hard time, as well. I have 2 children which is where I gained most of my weight but also gained after giving birth. Sounds like we have similar goals. Feel free to add me as a friend.0

Weightloss is not easy to stay on track, so I don't blame you for being frustrated. I struggle often with eating right (not that you have that issue) but its me. I always let things get in the way. But the most important thing you need to focus on is nutrition. Sticking to a healthy diet is crucial. People think, oh i'll go on a "diet" for a couple months to lose this weight, then they end up gaining it back because they dont exercise good nutrition habits. This is a life long change, not just temporary. Practice good eating habits and stick to what works for you. The exercises wont do anything for you if you dont have proper nutrition.
That being said, expect your weight to fluctuate. I only weigh myself once a week, so I dont get discouraged as my weight does fluctuate in between. But just focus on results that you can see. I have been on p90x and it has different workout schedules. It mixes cardio with strength training and I lost a lot of weight on it. Good luck to you! And feel free to add me as a friend0 -
 Hi. I agree with the others. Your body probably needs a shock, meaning that try doing a total different exercise. After doing one exercise for a long period of time you body stops losing weight and gaining muscle. Oh, and the biggest part of losing is cutting down on your sugar intake... Sugar turns to fat. Processed sugar is the worst. Watch that and you will have a greater success at losing those extra pounds. I stuggles for a long time to get past 220 and thought I was never going to do it. I was like you going down then back up then down again..until a friend of mine ( a professional trainer) asked me about my sugar intake. I had no idea how bad it was and how much I was taking in. I was shocked to find out all the things that has sugar in them. Cokes, of course, is number one but the little things like ketchup, Bar-b-que sauce, spaghetti sauces, all the things that you would eat without even thinking about it. Try it for a week. MFP has a place were you can change your food intake to the things you want to keep track of... I have mine set to track Calories, Fat, Protein, Sugar and Sat. fat... Hope some of this has helped.:happy:0
